Owner
A & K Landscaping, LLC was started by Alan and Keith Marchant in 2004, soon after Alan completed his education for a Horticulture degree, with an emphasis on Turf and Landscape Management at Oregon State University. While at the University, Alan interned at EWEB within their Water Department, auditing irrigation efficiency within the community. Alan worked for A & G Washburn, Inc. during the summer time on various projects within the Willamette Valley from Medford to Eugene. Alan loved to work outside and landscaping became his reason to pursue his career path. Alan handles all the needs for our landscaping outdoor jobsites, as well as the pricing, while Keith handles all of the office demands for the company

Tim came to my house to help with my sprinklers; he was patient with me explaining and teaching me about my system, he was respectful of my home and kind, he was on time and prompt, overall great experience thanks to him. I never felt like he was offering me anything I didn't need, and solved my problem in a few hours of time. As a construction business owner myself, it was good to see an employee who was thorough and knowledgeable. I will use a and k again in the future I am sure because of this experience.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. The owner of A and K, Alan Marchant, has PREDATORY pricing. He did a back flow test at a 4-plex and a duplex. He charged over 400.00. I got a quote for the same work for 100.00. He was able to get this paid by my property manager prior to it being brought to my attention. Otherwise he would have only received what the prevailing rates are. I'm sure he's had great success with doing this to property managers in the past because the owners are not paying attention to all the charges they are receiving.
I called him to address my concerns only to find him not willing to refund any of the money he received. Also came to find out that the duplex didn't even have a back flow to test and still charged me. I will never do business with this company that rips you off. I also found Alan to be very smug. I assume it's because he already had the money and has no regard for return business.
I only hope small claims court will show him he can't get away with these type of business practices. I rarely write reviews with this strong of wording but I don't want someone else to get taken. I know he won't get me again and hopefully others can read this and dodge a huge bullet.

This is our second year using A & K Landscaping for our holiday lighting installation. Last year, they designed our lighting so that it perfectly fits our home - no more extra lights hanging in awkward spots, no more hours-long sessions unwinding/untangling lights and troubleshooting funky strands AND, no more climbing on the slippery roof. attempting to hang them ourselves.
It could not be easier: they notified us of our installation date, and we simply put the box of lights that they had packaged up so nicely last year, on the porch this morning. We would not have even had to be home! The lights they provide are top quality, energy efficient and gorgeous. I highly recommend their services.

Excited that we can now work on bringing our yard back to life! We highly recommend Alan and his technicians for any irrigation or landscaping needs! They were very professional and honest! Provides the Best, yet lasting and most inexpensive method for fixing and maintaining your sprinkler irrigation system in our yard! Cannot wait for my yard to be green again!
