Atlantic Avenue Orchid & GRDN

They have a very large and impressive selection of gorgeous plants. It's a very colorful and peaceful place. I am just now getting into the hobby of landscaping/gardening and this is the first nursery I've been to- my only frame of reference is the farmer's market and Lowe's Home Improvement's gardening section. With that frame of reference in mind, this place DOES seem expensive (but again, that could be false vs other nurseries in the area.

I just haven't explored enough of the competition yet) but easily has the best selection. I paid $100 for 2 hydrangeas. They're both doing fairly well 2 weeks later. I didn't care for the fact that the checkout register is inside some fancy building, it feels awkward pushing a large, rattly cart with plants through the doors and around the store fixtures.

It would be nice to see an outdoor register or an easier way to get to the indoor register. If you're there by yourself like I was, you'll have to find someone to hold the door open for you as you can't open the door and push the cart by yourself. For folks like me with social anxiety, that's actually a nightmare. At any rate. I will be back for some more flowers. :)

Friendly staff, endless plant variety, and a fun early afternoon! Came on a Saturday and there were many staff around to assist. Everyone was kind and helpful. The Garden Bar was such a fun treat with a very nice and personable server. Bought a few plants including a beautiful Caladium. There were many larger trees to choose from as well, which is hard to find. Will definitely be back.

I think I found my new favorite plant store. They have such a great selection, holy cow. I love all the plant accessories, and the bar didn't hurt either. I can't wait to come back.

Such a great surprise. Lots of Pictures at the end of post. What an awesome place to meet up with friends and have a drink in the joy of nature. Was visiting Raleigh and my son took us to this gardening center. Wow they really know how to make this a destination place to go to even if your not ready yet to start a garden or anything else for your yard.

They have a great little bar for getting a drink and just relaxing and socializing. Even if you don't have a gardening space you can just go and enjoy. They have little bistro sets under cover and inside for the sitting and relaxing. Then you can also create your own bouquet. They sell individual stems starting at $3 each with some specialty stems priced higher.

They have vases also. Or simply wrap them in some pretty paper. Or if you prefer have their specialist make a beautiful display for you. They have an abundance of air plants of all sizes. The workers there are so helpful and friendly. Everyone went out of their way to find everything we needed. We were there to purchase blueberry Bushes and we did.

They are some beauty's and some ground cover as well. I give this gardening center many, many stars and I highly recommend if you want a different kind of garden center experience this is it. Loving it.

Coming from Cary, Atlantic Gardening is a bit of a drive, but I found it worth the while. The prices for most things seemed a bit higher than other local gardening centers, but their quality and selection made it seem justifiable. I purchase several dahlia tubers and gladiolus corms, which were on par with ones you would order online.and far better quality than those sold at the big box retailers. The service was very knowledgeable and friendly.

We stopped in to take part of their Mulch Madness sale. We walked the grounds and had a drink at the bar. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. There was a huge selection of plants. The green house is a plant lovers paradise. We look forward to returning for our warmer weather plants.

Great location! Lots of different varieties of plants and they even have care cards so you know how to best care for your plant! They had a few plants I've really been wanting but couldn't find anywhere else, will definitely be back. Also an employee there took the time to give me recommendations and answer all of my plant questions!

I wanted to like this place but have been disappointed so many times. First- Bought an orchid (which wasnt cheap) a couple of years back and it died a month later. They said it was my own fault but have had no issues with Costco and Home Depot orchids prior or since Second- Bought a small tree on sale and was told no refunds. Planted with other items with the right conditions and the tree died very quickly.

My own fault for buying a tree on sale, i suppose but if theres a low probability of it surviving, dont sell it at all. Third - Had privacy trees planted in my back. All came much smaller than expected and come to find were more expensive than other nurseries. One did not make it. They guaranteed the tree and ive attempted to get it replaced but have not responded. Ive left multiple messages for 6 weeks and there is NO response. Very frustrating. I would not recommend this business to anyone.

I received the most beautiful floral arrangement I have ever seen! The absolute best florist in town. Highly recommend. Thank you AGC for the stellar arrangement.

I emailed the center prior to my first visit and the manager quickly answered all of my questions the next day. When I got here the facility itself is so beautiful and well organized! There are tons of quality supplies and pots to help care for your new plants, and the staff were just as friendly and knowledgeable in person. I can't wait to visit again for more and try a drink sometime! :

It's a dope plant spot. Lots of nice plant and a nice bar to chillax at. We bought a few plants then grab a mimosa and a beer. Pleasant atmosphere with nice staff.

Oh man. I pass this place all the time and live literally two minutes away. I'm mad I hadn't come here sooner. The selection of plants, and gardening supplies is amazing. Even better THEY HAVE A BAR! the bartender, Tom, was great. One of the many reasons I'll be sure to come back

So as a new plant mom, I decided to go and check this place out off of a recommendation, I can truly say I'm glad I did, from the time you pull up til the time you leave the customer service us simply amazing, the staff is ready and willing to answer questions and point you in the right direction, and to top it off it has a garden bar, and bartender Tom was simply the best, my children even loved him, he ensured they they didn't feel left out of the garden bar experience, I must say the purple rain Mimosa was great, I will be back very soon not sure how much room I have left for another house plant, but I'm sure I can find a reason to visit bartender Tom.

I'm honestly shocked by the reviews of this place. Upon walking up to the outdoor nursery, i noticed that about 70% of their plants were dead (not on sale). Not only is it incredibly overpriced for their product, not a single person that I walked by bothered to look at me (3 workers total), smile or even acknowledge my presence. I came in with the intention of purchasing some soil and looking around for future gardening needs for a home we just purchased, and what I got instead was 3 incredibly sour women who couldn't even bother to say hello to me. I'll never be back and I will make sure to let my family and friends know not to give them business. Sad that being around plants can make people so miserable.

Everything about this place is perfection. And the fact that it has been a trusty standby for decades is even better! Go for gifts, go for your garden needs, go for home decor go for a beer! The opportunities are endless.

Tom is such an an amazing bartender, he made sure that we were satisfied with our drinks at the Garden bar. He also was kind enough to take our group photo and share terrific lady gaga oreo cookies. The greenhouse house is more incredible then I thought it would be as well as affordable and priced fairly. The staff are all nice and attending which is important bc it was a group of 4.

They didn't overcrowd us and allows us to explore the area which is nice. We had side conversations and kept engaging with the staff about everyday life. Lastly the music is a vibe! You'll have to be sitting at the garden bar to hear it, but ill describe it as reminiscent.

Great spot for some flowers and grab a while shopping. Staff was helpful and the selection of flowers and trees matched the big boxes but it's nice to support a local business. The parking lot is not very large and can be tricky to get around in so be careful and watch out for other shoppers.

Beautiful garden center! The staff is knowledgeable and so helpful. I had a few questions, and they also made some recommendations. They have a wide variety of things to choose from. I'm a novice, so I appreciated their help! I am happy I brought home this Miss Muppet!

While in the nursery I asked one employee a question about one plant and he completely stopped what he was doing and walked with me to find the answer, very kind. At check out Rachel was great, we chatted like best friends about what plants we are excited about and where to get the best cuttings. The time I visited before Alex checked me out and she was so nice and helpful telling me when the best time to come in is. They have a wide variety of beautiful house plants at reasonable prices and believe it or not, they have a bar! I have already recommend this place to at least 5 friends.
