I would not recommend. They built a french drain system for me. I had two goals: 1. it has to work on erosion control 2. it has to look good. I believe that it will work although as yet it is untested. The look is fair. If I could rewind the clock I would not again do this project this way and with them. They were like James Bond: they got they job done but left collateral damage.
Until the last day my yard was daily strew with trash and other items like boards with nails face-up. I almost stepped on one of those boards when I exited my side garage door. They piled their supplies on the neighbors yard and I had them move it. They piled dirt from the excavation on another part of my yard thereby covering up other vegetation.
My landscaper is going to fix that. They placed a sign in my front yard without asking me during the project. There are three apple-sized oil stains in the driveway from their vehicles. They backed a truck up the driveway into the grass and broke one holly and burned another with the exhaust To me landscape work is about the details. That is what was missing.
