Called and scheduled an appointment for a quote. A week later we received a quote that was inaccurate. It's as if they weren't listening to us or they got our quote mixed up with someone else's. Called and the customer service just got worse so we decided obviously not to utilize them. We do not recommend this company.

The team at BCLS completely blew me away with my new backyard patio and firepit. From planning to completion they exceeded my expectation. I received the final plans weeks before the start day where we were able to confirm that our visions were aligned. On the first day, Howard came out and we walked the property, finalizing the plan one last time.

Each day the BCLS crew showed up on time, made incredible progress, cleaned up, organized their equipment, and communicated their progress moving forward. Now my backyard has been completely transformed from a bare dirt yard to the perfect gathering spot for friends and family. Couldn't give higher praises to the team at BCLS and thank them enough for my patio.

BCLS did a outstanding professional job on installing a paver patio. The results were exactly like the designs on their website. Everyone in the office was friendly and never minded answers any questions. Howard went above and beyond by guiding us on some landscaping concerns we had even after the project was completed. BCLS was one of a handful of companies I consulted when looking to complete a patio project. They left the best impression on me during the initial consultation; being right on time, personable, and insightful about the project. They were also the most expensive option I looked at but their professionalism won me over. There were some delays getting started but given the weather in spring around Richmond that is understandable.

Some issues did arise during the project execution that probably could have been avoided with better communication but Howard and his team went out of their way to make things right. Overall I'm glad I went with BCLS for my project and would recommend them to anyone looking for high quality landscaping and patio services.

BCLS and Howard were extremely professional and responsive to our needs. They helped us to design a beautiful bluestone/brick patio. We are very happy with their quality of work and did the project in a timely manner, which in this environment, is almost unheard of!

We went through several modifications to the design of a paver patio before and during the build, and the whole BCLS team was patient and flexible each time. The on-site crew worked super hard in the grueling heat to get the job done on time, and they were always courteous and professional. Steven and Howard both came out to personally check in on the project also. I'm beyond pleased with how everything turned out.

CHOSE ANOTHER COMPANY PEOPLE! If you don't have a big job for this business, you can forget them helping you. We called for a landscape job that amounted to under 2g's and from the get go we got attitude from the guy who took our call. He actually told us he would be "doing us a favor" to do the work we wanted to HIRE his company to do. Can you believe that? How smug! Needless to say we told ALL of our friends and family to steer clear of BCLS. We were under the impression that a customer was a customer?

My husband and I wanted to have a fire pit and patio so we of course shopped around and had several contractors come out. Howard was the only one who was honest enough to tell us we could not put the fire pit where we wanted because of the slope in our backyard. He recommended a new place which did not slope as much and his crew took time to build that area up so the patio would be level.

We love the design, the lights in the wall and the landscaping work that was done. Its as if we are in a whole new house. I have already recommended BCLS to several family members and friends and we can't wait to entertain on our new patio!

I had severe drainage issues at our company. BCLS came in with a detailed quote and pictures to compare what it looks like now versus the future. I could not be happier and I happily recommend them. They fixed the drainage issue and used river rock and it looks great.

Bcls mulched my property without notice or communication and is expecting me to pay a $1200 bill. This is after using the service for years and only using their mulch services once, with an estimate ahead of time. Terminating service. Beware.
