The best known national firm in Clarinda Iowa for many decades was Berry's Seed Company, a mail order farm seed distribution business founded in 1885 in Clarinda by A. A. Berry. Berry's Seed Company diversified into retail stores in the 1950s, but the stores were sold off over the following decade and today the company, known as Berry's Garden Center, operates from its one remaining retail outlet in Danville, Illinois. The Danville store was one of 3 in the state of Illinois and in the early 1960's, was sold to Ralph Dubois.

I am from out of state and when I called needing assistance they were very helpful. They sent photos to my phone of several things they had in the store that might be something I want. Most of us our visual people and this helped a lot. They followed up with me the next day to see if there was anything I needed. Very friendly, helpful but not pushy.

The CLERK @ BERRY'S WS AMAZING.! She helped me with the garden seeds I wanted, explained the procedure for planting them, & guess what my price was? A whopping 27 cents! Yes guys! 27 cents. WOW! She gave me a book on perennials. AND. I'LL BE BK! Thank GOD there's still some nice people out here in this world

Berry's did the flowers for my mothers memorial service. i called and ordered them over the phone since I live 3 hours away. I told them what I wanted without having any pictures to go by. When i showed up at the funeral home I was astounded by how beautiful they were. Truly the best funeral flowers I have ever seen and were exactly as I envisioned only better. They far exceeded my expectations. So glad that I chose Berry's!

Absolute terrible service! I order 50 dollars worth of flowers for a birthday arrangement and flowers get there and they look like a funeral arrangement. So I call and tell them my thoughts and the manager gets shitty with me over the phone so I just ask them to come pick them up and want my money back! Then when they come and get them they have a person that works in the same building as the person I order flowers for come get them because she is a family member of a person that works there makes things very awkward!. I used to order from berry's all the time but they have completely gone downhill. But NEVER AGAIN!
