Great website and advertising! Poor customer service, lying, false promises, you have to manage the project. DO NOT HIRE BLOOMING VISTA LANDSCAPING AND POOLS!! These guys are shady at best.
Steer clear of Blooming Vista!! During the sales stage, they will promise you that you will be happy with their work and they back up what they say. Once the contract is signed, good luck!
Blooming Vista planning people will not return calls, and you have to do the leg work in order to get anything done. We were supposed to have a copy of the plans from their CAD people within a week or so, but it took about four months... only after repeatedly hounding the salesman and the owner of this company.
Once they started the job, I felt like I was the project manager. Phone calls went unanswered, appointments were missed by Blooming Vista personnel, and I had to constantly stay on them about getting things done on-time with the subcontractors. I shouldn't have been the one handling these things.
There were several infuriating moments during the construction of our pool. One of the most egregious was the installation of a temporary pool fence around the perimeter. They had measured, specified, and priced a fence that would go around the perimeter of the pool. When it came time to install the fence, they wanted to run a single length of fence from the house to the bordering wall in the back of the yard. I explained that the plans called for a fence to go around the pool, not cut my backyard in half.
They stated that the fence wasn't planned that way. I had to produce a copy of the swimming pool plans and the price list showing the total amount of fencing, needed to surround the pool, was indeed in the contract and priced on the price list. Once the fence was installed in accordance with the plans, they installed a second gate without my knowledge and permission, and then they tried to charge me $350 for the second gate. When I argued that I didn't order a second gate, they told me that I was present during the installation and that I approved it.
I told them that was impossible because I was in Jacksonville Florida on business the day the fence was installed and I can prove it through my company records. They then "back-pedaled" on the issue, and the owner of Blooming Vista asked me if I verbally approved a second gate. I stated that I had not, nor had I signed anything accepting a $350 payment for a second gate. Once we talked to the pool project manager, he admitted that he thought a second gate would be "nice to have," so he told the fencing guy to put the second gate in. That is only the tip of the iceberg.
I also had a Spa Heater, Fire Pit, and BBQ installed, and Blooming Vista failed to spec the gas line properly. As a result, I cannot run all three things concurrently. Their answer was, "Well if you wanted a bigger line for the gas requirements, then you would have had to pay more money." Really? When they sold me the products, they said that everything would work together.
I could go on about Blooming Vista, but I am running short on space here.
The bottom line is that Blooming Vista doesn't seem to know what they are doing. I talked to Paula from Moon Valley Nursery--they have supplied plants for Blooming Vista. She said the same thing. Her comment, "They don't know what they're doing, that's why they're having so many problems."
I would never hire Blooming Vista again. Their personnel are smug and full of contempt for the customer. I'd been having warranty issues since the project was complete, and I had to do all the leg-work in order to get things done.
I paid $70K for a complete landscape AND pool package. I did my homework before hiring them, but there was not any bad information about this company. I have decided to change that so that someone else won't have to deal with the headaches I went through by hiring Blooming Vista. Would you recommend this business to a friend?
