Our products are essential in the construction of homes, schools, hospitals, buildings, and landscaping, as well as the maintenance and construction of roads and bridges.
Boxley is a vertically integrated construction materials company that produces aggregates, asphalt, block, brick, hardscapes, and slate products. William Wise Boxley, founder of the company, was born in 1861. As a young man he went to work for J.C. Carpenter and eventually partnered with him building railroads, later working on such railroad lines as New York Central, C&O, Baltimore & Ohio, and N&W.
Boxley operates aggregate quarries, asphalt plants, asphalt paving, and concrete masonry unit plants in central and western Virginia. Georgia Stone Products is operated by Boxley Materials Company with aggregate quarries located throughout northern Georgia and South Carolina. All employees have the opportunity to advance their careers through Boxley or our parent company, Summit Materials Company, which has operations across the U.S. and British Columbia, Canada.At Boxley, safety is set in stone, held as the highest value, and emphasized daily.
