I can't believe how great your ski conditions were today, in the middle of March. It is a testimony to Dave's superior trail design, layout and construction, and your excellent north slope location, not to mention the attention to trail maintenance by your well seasoned trail crew, and your use of top-shelf trail equipment.

Canterbury Farm, located in the beautiful Berkshire Hills of Massachusetts, offers fun for the whole family with skiing, skating, snowshoeing, skating, snowshoeing, rentals. We offer bed-and-breakfast lodging in our guest rooms only during the summer months.
Services
Built in 1780, this historic home was once a sheep farm. It was originally named Timberlake Farm because there was a 50 acre lake on the property. In 1927, the dam burst and flooded the town of Becket, destroying many homes and businesses. In 1942, Linda's parents bought the farm and spent most summers renovating it, relaxing, meeting neighbors and planting trees.
Open for lodging during the summer months. We have taken this time as an opportunity to perfect the service we offer to guests, dig deeper into our cleaning and train staff for the 'new normal' of our industry. The comfort, health and safety of our guests and employees is always our primary concern and we would like to reassure you that we have extremely high standards of health and safety in place. Our hearty breakfasts are all individually served with social distancing inside or outdoor dining available.

Such a lovely place for cross-country skiing. For my first time, I took a lesson with Holly Brouker (M Power Adventures), who was fantastic (see Canterbury Farm website for her contact). Came back second time with friends who took a group lesson with Holly. After an hour with her, my first-timer friends were ready to hit the trails! All the trails here are gorgeous, and you really feel away from everything.

We visited Canturbury Farm to cross country ski. The trails we're groomed and easy to follow. The staff was very nice, and they had a very sweet dog that guided us around the trails! The only downside was that the food was certainly overpriced for what it was, particularly the soup which was clearly out of a can. Other than that I have no complaints and we had a great experience!

Trail conditions were excellent! Was a cold day, so it was nice to come inside to the lodge and warm up! Not too crowded and staff were very friendly and helpful

We love this place! It's wonderful to visit at any time of the year, especially in winter when their amazing trails are open for cross country skiing through the beautiful woods in bucolic Becket. The owners are very friendly and accommodating with how they welcome guests to their idyllic setting and into their charming historic home. Best B&B, by far!

Canterbury Farm is delightful B&B in the Berkshire Mountains of Massachusetts. The B&B consists of a house built in 1780, and a large property consisting of ponds, woods, and ski trails in the winter. I stayed in the Lilac Room for two nights, and I was very satisfied. The room was clean, and had very confortable beds, a private bathroom, free Wi-Fi, and plenty of hot water.

The rooms do not have televisions, but there are TVs in two lounges, as well as a a public computer with internet, and bookshelves filled with lots of books. Outside the house, there is a gazebo and a large deck with chairs and tables. The B&B serves a full breakfast every morning, and coffee and tea are available 24-hours per day. During my time at Canterbury Farms, I ate cereal, bagels, bacon, french toast, and pancakes for breakfast.

All the food was good. The owners, Dave and Linda, are very friendly, and more than willing to answer questions about local attractions and businesses. Dave is a musician, and is quite willing to let you listen to one his CDs. The B&B is located on unpaved road at 1600 feet above sea level, so it is very quiet there, and gets cool at night even in the summer.

If you seek a serene location to get away from the hustle and bustle of modern life, come here. My only complaint about the B&B was the rooms do not have adequate storage and drawer space. In my room, there was no closet and a single dresser. The dresser had four tiny drawers, and a large drawer that was filled with blankets. I'm not a fan of living out of my suitcase. That being said, if you are visiting the Berkshires, I strongly recommend staying at Canterbury Farm.
