I received a call June 30th, at 09:05am MST from a TrueGreen Sales number that what designated to Hitchcock, TX being (409) 440-6483 responding to my online inquiry. First it was very difficult to get a word into the sales pitch due to the gentleman being extremely overbearing. Once we were able to distinctly separate services and come to an agreement, he insists I provide my credit card information directly to him In which I asked for an online registration to ensure a secure link to do so.

His tone and aggressive responses where very off put and began to make us feel very nervous about the call and it's legitimate nature. I requested an online link again to protect my information and the gentleman refused and said he'll send me a text with a link and I need to add it there to "receive the deal". Again, very aggressive in demands so I politely said that his sales pitch was unprofessional and unsecured and I didn't feel like I could trust a text.

He was very vulgar and yelled that he can't give us any deals then to which I had ended the call. I will be posting this exact response on every website platform to bring attention the characters TrueGreen is using to solicit sales.

Awful customer service. You'll be calling a call center and you can never get in touch with your home service location. The area code will lead you to believe it's a local service but it's just a call center and the call center will try to tell you everything is fine when they have no idea what your lawn looks like. I received a voicemail from my complaint and they still couldn't give me a POC or direct line to a supervisor or regional manager. I just have to wait until they call me back before I can talk to someone. Canceling my service ASAP.

Terrible service. mosquito control person was here for 10 minutes, sprayed around perimeter of house and didn't do yard at all. I'm not sure why I even use them.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Value Service was good until this year. Now I have a yard full of weeds and they won't come out to spray. They cold call constantly claiming they inspected the shrubs and trees that we don't have claiming we need additional services. They should treat weeds, like I paid them a lot of good money for, before they try to get more. Service: Weed control

Never did full yard, just the fenced in part, not around fence or side yard, few weeds in fenced in part, tons of weeds in other parts of yard, which would then blow into fenced in part. They call constantly trying to upsell, even after canceling was still called 3 times, the last person getting verbally angry with me because I did not want to restart service. I couldn't handle my phone ringing all the time asking if I wanted them to seed or do special treatments for this and that.

I have used TruGreen since Spring of 2019. Now going into my 4th year of uninterrupted service, my lawn is in rough shape. I had TruGreen come and review my lawn and they told me the issue I'm having in most of my lawn is a lawn fungus. I asked how they treated it and they said they would hit the areas with fertilizer and it should fill in again soon.

Of course, their service didn't clear up the areas last year. I asked how the fungus can be prevented and they told me it can't. A simple Google search shows there are treatments readily available. My lawn was scalped this spring. I mow regularly and I have an irrigation system to water 3 times a week. I figure I'm doing my part. Today I applied to my lawn a fungus treatment I bought at Lowe's but apparently TruGreen can't provide. I've attached photos for your review. Is this what you would expect to see in your lawn after 3 full years of service? I know I'm not happy.

Last summer I spent around $3000 replacing the grass in my front yard, I thought it would be better to hire a professional to fertilize and control the weeds. I contracted True Green. First of all, they dont show up every month. its hit or miss if they are going to show up this month. After a couple of months I started noticing long strips of grass dying while I would have other 3 foot round spots dark green and looking good.

They left notes for me to add good topsoil and new sod. Every time they would show up they would kill another area of my yard and the weeds are getting out of control. I canceled my contract. I can do a better job myself.

Rachael. Once again received one of your annoying notices after putting it in writing, not interested, have no lawn and to stop the annoying notices and once again, name misspelled, again the flyer full of misinformation and this time states 141 of my neighbors in my area have Trugreen lawns.you can't even get the misinformation correct. NONE of my neighbors have your service.

We have always done our own and rather that waste time, energy, water, on a patch of something that does nothing, had it removed last year and a remarkable landscape project completed like others are doing with climate change issues. And you don't even to bother to have the courtesy to get my name spelled correctly, know that I no longer have a lawn so you really don't know my area after all.

I called this time 1-844-275-5344 at 0700 Pacific time and asked to be removed from your mailers.guess we will see how effective that is. Yes, your notices get shredded but what is annoying is the continual misinformation you put out there. I would never do business with a firm that misleads others and have spread the word to others to not do business with Trugreen.

Called about using them, shopping around. First person I talked to quoted me one price locally but never even accounted for the actual house and driveway on my property. Then, I got a call from "Phil" who explained said quote and gave me a lower quote then wanted a credit card and to get started next week. I explained I would talk with my husband and get back with him if he agreed.

Since then I have received 13 calls in four days from him & Truegreen, even all weekend. I can't even block their calls! I had not decided if we wanted to use them, had calls from other TG people wanting to give me quotes even as late as 8 pm! I have a child, on a school night, who I have to have in bed by 830. If I wanted to call them I would have done so by now.

I get they work on commission but they lost our business by harassing us, by their reps not even having correct information the first time they talk to us, and by calling multiple times a day, especially on a weekend and late into the evening. We had a family tragedy and they couldn't leave us alone. Call once. Leave a message. Do NOT mess with my family time. You have NO IDEA what my life is like or you wouldn't dare call past 4. You care more about commission than actual customer service so no thanks.

I have technically been a customer since 2013, I say technically because I had been using a local company that trugreen bought in 2019 which I was absorbed into. Every year I have prepayed in full in the spring. Last year (2021) I was a little late but paid in full on June 5th. I found out on 3/19/22 that trugreen had made an error because I received a notice from a collection agency for $51.41 saying it was from the last service of 2021.

I promptly called trugreen and the representative explained it was an error and to disregard it and it would be taken care of. Then on 4/30 I received a 2nd notice from the collection agency. I promptly called trugreen again and the lady did not seem to understand anything but eventually said I did not owe anything and that she would have a supervisor call me in 24-48 hours. 48 hours later I had not received a call so I called trugreen again.

I was told it was incorrect and they would submit a ticket for a general manager to call me in 24 hours. 24 hours later I had not received a call so I called again. I was told it was incorrect and this is the first time they told me me account had been charged and then credited $51.41 on 2/22/22. Again the representative said I owed nothing and that a representative would call me in 1-2 business days.

It has now been 5 business days and I have not received a call. This is truly unacceptable and I do not want a derogatory mark on my credit report. I will be filing reports with the Better Business Bureau, the CFPB, possibly my states attorney general, as well as sharing this on google reviews, their facebook page and the many facebook neighborhood groups I am a part of. I have all of these calls with the representatives recorded saying that it is trugreens error and yet they fail to try and fix it. Avoid this company at all cost.

The worst to deal with. I have cancelled my service since the end of December and have called 4 times that I have documented, calls recorded and cancellation numbers documented. True green is still taking money out of my account and I am on the verge of taking legal action given I have enough documentation to do so. This is fraud and taking money out of my account that is not authorized.

I expect a phone call today and a resolution with a refund that's as instant as you taking my money from my account. Otherwise I will be contacting your legal department and taking further action

I hired TruGreen in December to make my lawn look better. However they have made 6 trips and billed me 6 times and I now have more weeds in my lawn than I ever had when I was doing the work. My yard is one of the worst lawns in the neighborhood and it is embarrassing. I called to cancel my service and was told a manager would call me. That was three days ago and no one has called. I cannot recommend their service to anyone.

Dishonest and careless! I had a customer service representative confirm my cancelation from TruGreen last year, and to my unpleasant surprise, an employee of TruGreen came over today to perform lawn service when I hadn't renewed my contract. Not sure why this happened, and if I could give zero stars, I would. As others have noted, customer service takes forever to answer the phone, and I wouldn't be surprised if some of the representatives purposely lie to avoid doing the cancelation work for their (former) customers.

Stay away from these liars! Edit: I just read a post about someone who used to work for TruGreen, and this person says that a customer service representative can be let go if they cancel too many contracts. If this is true and my contract doesn't get canceled, I may have to contact the Better Business Bureau, because what the company is doing is extremely immoral and disgusting! It's time to expose criminal companies like TruGreen!

0 stars! 1. Aeration - a total disaster: a band of kids ripped up the lawn in October to the point my wife was asking what happened to it. Mud patches and craters the size of volleyballs. They also broke the sump pump cover with the aerator. Senior dude came later to try to salvage but damage was already done. 2. TruGreen then double-charged me. I called to remove the second charge and also disputed with my credit card company. So, make sure never to pay them by check or debit card! 3.

Three months later, TruGreen has given my info to collection agency, I receive a threating letter from IC System, Inc., St Cloud, MN - attempt to collect debt. I called to get this fixed, guy tells me it's my fault that I was scheduled twice because I had called twice about the service. Then guy hangs up the call. If this is not disservice, I don't know what is.

We have an account with TruGreen, paid in advance, for weed control. We receive a message from TruGreen that they will be here "today". We stay home to be here when they arrive. Toward the end of the day we get a message that they can't do the service. They do not follow through. Their GPS is apparently outdated as the map placement of our address is wrong.

We have contacted customer service for help but nothing seems to matter. Also, calling the local number gets customer service representative in a distant state. TruGreen is an unreliable source for lawn service.

The TruGreen service today was worse than horrible. It appears the "Specialist" did not even attempt to close the gate to our backyard. 2 of our dogs got out to roam the neighborhood. Something completely avoidable, yet was not. It's not hard to check the gate after dragging the hose back to the truck. The gate faces the street no more than yards.

And to top things off, the 2 phone numbers I used that are listed on search results were remote. How can local service issues be resolved that way? Oh, but they were kind enough to take my phone number and have a "higher up" return my call. In 2 to 3 days. Beyond frustrated. Spitting mad. Imagine losing 2 of your beloved due to something like this being overlooked. The dogs were found, but Imagine the stress. I would like to get a written explanation and apology, but won't hold my breath for that. Argh.

I paid ~$1600 in April of 2021 for "Full Lawn Management" including the most important aspect, Fall Aeration and Seeding. They never showed up, I had to call them in November once I realized it wasn't done. Then they tried to lie to me and tell me it would be "fine" to seed in November. I still have not received a full refund. STAY AWAY - DO NOT PREPAY

Not rating on service but on the high pressure to sign contract with them. I should have known what I was getting into with a national company. Spoke to an agent and made it very clear I was not ready to make a commitment with any lawn service. Then over the next two days I received multiple emails and phone calls, basically every other hour. Finally answered the call at work and told them I would not be using TruGreen due to the repeated attempts to contact me and that I made it very clear I was shopping and told them to remove me from their list. I would not consider TrueGreen if they were the only lawn care company available. I would rather have a dead brown lawn or a lawn full of weeds.

TruGreen is a nightmare. They take your credit card and make you promises and never show up for the treatment They say it will be done in a few days. WRONG. They kept putting our service off time n time again. After several calls, it's always someone out of state they listen and tell you they will be there another date and never show up again.

So after several weeks thank God they didn't do my lawn and refunded my payment. NEVER NEVER can this company be trusted for what they tell you. Too bad I didn't read the reviews before I called this horrible company. Carol F.

What a struggle to get TruGreen take care of its customers. I prepaid for my service, which comes with so called "guarantee". They decide the treatment plan but if things go wrong they blame everything but their treatment plan. A couple of months ago, I started seeing yard damage. I called & called & called.them to come and fix it. Technicians came looked around but couldn't diagnose the issue (one said grub damage, another said armyworm damage but all said there is no more infestation) and kept on giving me false assurance.

After repeated follow ups they came and did some reseeding and the grass came back in one spot but not in other spots. Now the spot where it cam has also turned brown. The service manager is busy for over two months that he can't even speak. Terrible, Terrible, Terrible company to deal with.

1 star only because thats the lowest you can give. Paid for 6 applications 1 fall and then other 5 the following year. Everytime they come the analysis would always be. I noticed weeds in your lawn, I noticed some hard to kill weeds. Always seem to be in a hurry and I had to have them come back for spots they missed. When they did come back they over sprayed some spots while completely missing others. I figured I would try them but I will be doing my own lawn care from now on.

Horrible! I have twice as many weeds in my yard since they started. I paid for spring aeration and they didn't come until several months later in the late summer, when it's not supposed to be done. We paid upfront and haven't seen them now for months. We have have stickers, mushrooms, moss, and weeds everywhere since they started. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

I paid for mosquitoes and weeds. The person who sprayed mosquito for my lawn, First time was good, He really did his work. then second, third and fourth and fifth. he didn't spray all the area I paid for. I guess he thought nobody is watching, so he tried to be lazy. I have installed cameras all around my house, I see everything. For weeds, ok. the guy he did spray every inch of my lawn, but. the weed is just getting worse and worse.

They told me to wait couple days or a week, so I waited, it's still very bad, it's somehow even worse than before. The only thing I can think of, is the weed killer spray they use it's bad, it's not good, it must be diluted with so much water, it doesn't even work. The person who came to spray weeds in August, he is from their company, and he thought it's was my first treatment, that's how bad my lawn is.

Since six weeks I am trying to get them to reseed and do aeration to my back yard lawn that has large dead lawn spots. I am not able to get any. I am afraid all lawn becomes dead from coming very cold weather. my mistake I generously paid them more than $900 contract for one year last month of March, 2021. They are nice on the phone but with zero action from their lawn care staff.

I may have to involve my attorney soon before the cold weather. In few days if no action done from their side I will cancel my contract and get refund to hire someone else to correct the situation.

I must agree with Wallace S. This company should be called True Lies. I have been a customer for two years. I have paid upfront. After two years of their service my lawn looks worse than when they started. I have weeds growing everywhere. I have less grass and more weeds. I have called numerous times. They send a so called Manager to my house. He was 3 hours late. Then he had no idea why he was there or any knowledge of what was going on. SAVE YOUR MONEY. SAVE TIME. THEY USE ROUND UP.A KNOWN CARCINOGEN.

Once they get your credit card, good luck trying To get someone on the phone to voice any Kind of concern or god forbid you have a question! I hired them a year ago to keep the cinchbugs at bay and not only are they back, they are 10 times worse. Nobody will return my phone calls and my entire lawn is DEAD. I have been leaving Messages for 6 months now and not one person has called me back. DO NOT USE THIS

DO NOT USE TRUGREEN! My experience with TruGreen has been awful. They seem willing to say/promise anything to get you to spend the money and then don't deliver on any of their promises. To make matters worse they are very difficult to get ahold of and when you do they have zero accountability for any issues. When I was first considering their service I was contacted by a sales rep who said they worked for the local office.

She said I could deal directly with her for all appointments/issues and that she would coordinate everything. This was just a bold faced lie as I have been unable to get in contact with her at all since signing up. Instead I have to wade through the crappy automated system to get a representative who has never dealt with me or my account before. If that wasn't bad enough they also told me that they would come out to deal with weeds as many times or as often as needed to get my yard looking good.

In the last 6-8 weeks I have been unable to get anyone out to my yard. Every time I call they say they will set up an appointment for the following week and then that date comes and goes and nobody comes or even contacts me to say they will not be coming. One time they even sent me a service report for a service they didn't do! I was literally in the backyard all day and nobody came.

When I called to asked why they claimed to do something that they clearly didn't nobody could tell me why or take any responsibility for the mistake. They just scheduled another appointment that nobody showed up for. Overall this has cost me a ton of money, my yard still looks like it did at the beginning of all this, and I have spent an incredible amount of time dealing with an awful customer service. Wish I could do zero stars.

Paid extra for a consultant to come out with the regular maintenance person and evaluate my lawn. When they came I had bare spots on lawn that I thought was due to the hot weather. They sprayed for weeds and fertilized my lawn. A month later no grass was growing in the areas so I started digging the compacted ground areas and replaced with sod. In the other areas up front I started digging and realized the ground was soft compared to the other area which I thought was odd.

Upon further inspection I found numerous grub worms, I started doing a spot checks in other areas and found more grubs worms! I was very dissatisfied they did not even do a core sample when it was my first visit with this company and they missed a huge infestation, I wouldn't of even known if I didn't do their job myself and fix my lawn so on top of the money I paid them I had to go out and buy grub poison.

Another thing is after they came none of the weeds even died. Yes the grass was greener but that doesn't really matter when the weeds start abundantly growing as well and do not die. For the 60$ I bought three months worth of weed and weed and insect killer, I ended up spreading my lawn myself and got very quick results just a week later. All in all I'm very dissatisfied with the careless service I feel like they just hurry along and don't take the time and care that lawn America did when they treated my neighbors lawns before trugreen took over.

Just got an email from TruGreen with my name and address on it saying "Thank you for your purchase ands for choosing our service, ." But I never signed up or consented to service from them. I replied to the email saying "I never signed up or consented to service", left a message with the company, and filed a complaint with BBB. I am worried their technicians will show up anyway to spray my yard with pesticides that I absolutely do not want around my family.

If anyone shows up, I will be pressing charges for trespassing. If they spray anything at all, I will press charges for destruction of property, endangerment of my children, and will make sure this ends up on the priority list of the Attorney General of NJ. These scammy companies need to be held to account for their shady practices.
