Delta Irrigation

After dealing with a pool contractor who was supposed to repair my system, I called in Cody and his team to fix my 1980's era sprinkler system. This was our 2nd time using Delta, and they've been great both times. Cody promptly answered my call earlier this week, and Keith arrived on-time today (and called ahead of time). Once again, Delta exceeded my expectations on my ancient system. Much appreciated!

Critical: Professionalism Very unprofessional to be in the business 45 years! Hung up in my face!

Critical: Professionalism Owner has some mental issues. He went off on me via telephone (yelling) for half a minute AFTER he was just paid ~$800 for sprinkler work. If you like to pay for verbal abuse, this is your guy. Weirdest contractor work I've ever experienced.

Cody Ray designed my system 3 years ago, and it has worked great. I recently had a new gas line installed (not by choice). Keith came out and repaired the damage to the drip system. They also tested the system. I am very pleased with the service I get from Delta Irrigation.

I have used Delta Irrigation for my sprinkler system maintenance for several years, and have always been impressed with their professionalism and quality work.

"Mr Cody", hah. He's something else. If you like to be cussed out and hung up on, this is your guy to call. He's excellent at that. Irrigation, I didn't get that far. You're paying for knowledge and equipment he informed me. He must drive a Bentley is all I could figure out. SIMPLY DO YOUR SELF A FAVOR AND CALL SOMEONE ELSE. You will anyways GUARANTEED!

It was all milk and honey when he wanted your money but attempts to get him to work on warranty issues resulted in hostility and whining. Fortunately, if you contact Rainbird directly, they will recommend a real professional installer who might be able to help you with warranty issues.

At first, I had high hopes. Cody from Delta Irrigation was the first company to call me back, within 24 hours of my voicemail. He requested a plot plan for an estimate, which I sent to him within another 24 hours. A few days pass and I'm started to receive quotes from other companies, so I gave Cody a call to see if he had anything ready. I asked him how it was going and what kind of numbers we were looking at and he promptly told me he hadn't even looked at my plot plan.

I was a little shocked, and silent for a moment. Cody moved on and informed me that the average job in McKinney cost $3,500 - $4,500. My jaw dropped, as I already receive quotes around the $3,000 even mark. I told him that was really high, and Cody snapped and stated: "cheap assholes like you" and hung up. Really? That's how you treat potential customers? I'm really happy I was able to avoid doing business with such an unprofessional person and not surprised seeing other reviews. Avoid this company like the plague.

I called him a couple of months ago to come out and take a look at our sprinkler system. He came out that night looked at the system. I went back inside and came back out 30 minuites later and he was gone. Then today(2 months later) the problem occured again. I called him again not knowing he was the company that came out earlier. When I spoke to him on the phone he said "ya I remember you, you've got a big mess and i don't want any part of it." I explained to him that I found out what was wrong and I needed a new back flow preventer.

He told me that we would have to have it tested and by someone from the city and it was going to be $575. When I asked a question on why a brand new back flow preventer would need to be tested, he got very defensive and told me I was difficult to deal with and too cheap. Hope this is helpful and will save you some time.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Delta Irrigation, and mostly with Cody Dale, possibly the owner? I had a long and detailed review posted earlier today, but my wife asked me to edit it because she is actually frightened of Cody. He has proven to be extremely unprofessional, used profanity with me, calling me a "$%*&wad" and refuses to back up his shoddy work.

I would tell everyone that it is worth the extra money to hire a better irrigator. Don't be fooled by your initial meeting with Cody (he seemed very knowledgeable and courteous when I met him). He has since acted very skittish and unstable, to the point of cutting ties with him and paying someone else to come fix his work. Do yourself a favor, read reviews and pick a different irrigator.

I used Delta Irrigation (Cody) for my yard sprinkler system. They worked hard and did a great job. It's a big investment money-wise, but they made it less painful by giving great customer service. I highly recommend!
