Gene is a true professional. I appreciate the way he communicates. He always responds to phone calls and texts. He kept me informed each day of what work would be done that day. He has a knowledgeable and skilled crew. I am very happy with the work that Gene and his crew did for me.

I'm not even sure where to start! We found Gene while were were in the middle of dealing with a contractor that took my elderly mother's money and put down a patio that can only be described as horrific. The concrete itself was so pourly laid that it started chipping and breaking apart almost immediately and he never came back to finish the job, or clean up his mess.

We needed that patio removed so that we could proceed with a whole new design and patio but the cost of doing it all again in addition to having to pay to remove the disaster of a patio that was laid was overwhelming. Long story short, Gene was instrumental in getting that contractor to come back and tear out the mess he had made, which was a miracle unto itself.

In the meantime he was so incredibly patient working with us to come up with a plan that not only would complement the style of the home, but also fit within my mom's budget. He was so respectful of our needs for my mom's safety and our opinions on the aesthetics and I can't begin to thank him enough for his integrity, patience and skill. The patio is absolutely perfect, the design is original and really sets off the mid-century modern style of the house and is so clean and beautifully done, my childhood home's landscaping has never looked better!

My mom is so pleased with how it looks! He turned a disaster into a thing of beauty and for that I would give him 10 stars if I could. Do not hesitate to hire Gene for any landscaping work you need done, you will not be disappointed. From start to finish, he will listen to you and do an incredibly high quality job. He responds quickly, is fairly priced and does what he says he's going to do. Abundant knowledge and Integrity in this industry are not always easy to find, as we experienced with the previous contractor, but Gene is the real deal!

Designer Landscape has done great work for us at home. Gene Hrdina and his team are professional, responsive and the work is reasonably priced. Gene's crew arrives when promised and they clean up the site when they have completed the job. Designer Landscape also carries good quality lawn care products. Gene is a quick communicator and returns calls promptly. Highly pleased!

Designer Landscapes recently completed the job of taking our stone patio apart, re-excavating its bed with gravel, and then reassembling it with the original pieces of stone. This was all necessary because the original stone patio had sunk in places by 5-6 inches. The work was performed professionally, often in uncomfortably hot sunshine conditions.

The owner, Gene, kept in continuous contact with us, both with questions and to inform us of how the work was proceeding and when it would be done. Based on our experience, the quality of Gene's efforts to communicate with us were unusually good. Gene's crew did an excellent job, working diligently to accomplish this challenging assignment. We enjoyed interacting with them, and they were always friendly as they answered our questions or would chat with us briefly.

We certainly liked having them around to do the work. Overall, we are extremely pleased with the completed project. The re-constructed stone patio looks great, and we are still amazed that they could keep straight which of the hundreds of original stones went where as they rebuilt the patio. Gene is great to work with, as is his crew. We would not hesitate to use Designer Landscape again for similar projects, and without reservation recommend them highly.

We hired Designer Landscape to design and build our outdoor living area. Gene Hrdina and his staff did a great job from the start of the bid process all the way through the design and the build. Their prices were competitive and we were impressed with the professional nature of how Gene went about things. We built quite a large area with an outdoor fireplace, outdoor fire pit, custom kitchen, and large pergola.

We used many custom materials. One of the things that was a positive for us in our decision to chose DL was their reputation for being easy to work with and to get ahold of if we had questions and Gene did not let us down! Overall we are very satisfied with how things turned out and use our space almost daily. I would recommend Gene and his company Designer Landscape without reservation.
