It's hard to find a contractor you want to rave about. It's a hard job with many things that can go wrong. But Devengenzo nails it. They are experts, yes. They know what they are doing. But the standout attribute about them is that they are true professionals. They are clear, patient and timely with communication. They are respectful to your home (careful with great cleanup).

And above all they are HONEST. This is a long-running family business.so they take extraordinary pride in their work.and it shows. Nick and Neil handled a relatively small, but time-critical job for me with the same care as if I had a massive project. It was holding up a bunch of other work. They understood and found a way to fit me in. I told them I felt like I had won the lottery that day. I got timely service AND a great contractor all in one. I'm so grateful I found them!

Please do not use this contractor. I had the opportunity to meet today Robert Devengenzo. I have outside and inside of the home projects. Mr Devengenzo looked at two decks that need to be rebuilt. As we walked to the front of the house, I mentioned that I have additional work inside the house, Devengenso shook his head side-to-side and I asked him the reason for shaking his head - nice tone- he said "you have giving me a month of work." I mentioned that he didn't need the work and I shook his hand and departed.

On my original call I was detailed about the list of projects. Shame of Devengenzo! DO NEED WORK DONT WASTE A CLIENT''S TIME BY MAKING AN APPOINTMENT. I would not hire this company even if it was for free.

I've been meaning to write a review about these guys and I kept procrastinating. This time they have been so over the top impressive that I must share. I initially hired them to do an inspection on a building I was about to purchase. Another inspector made an assessment that didn't seem right. These guys came in and were detailed, straightforward and reasonable.

I purchased the property and hired them a year later to do the needed repairs. This father son team is the best. "Dad" has a million years of experience and has seen everything. He is knowledgeable, relaxed, respectful and a true expert. His son seems to be the future of the company. He is committed, professional, smart and knowledgeable. He did a perfect job for me and offered some creative innovative solutions to drainage issues (and others).

The unforgettable moment was toward the end of the job when Nic filled in his dad about the completed work. I saw a father son pride that transcends any business deal. It was an interaction that is hard to explain but it reflected a pride and accountability that summed up a full career and was more powerful than a thousand Yelp reviews. I would highly recommend Nic or his dad for any inspection, assessment or repair especially if there are foundation, drainage or engineering issues.

My wife and I recently bought a 38 year old Alamo Home and found out it never had a real drainage system installed on the.5 acre lot. We discovered we had standing water issues last year during a complete interior remodel. I vowed not to experience another winter without having a professional drainage system installed on this property. I contacted 4 separate drainage companies, Devengenzo & Company, a Diamond Certified company, was the 3rd company I contacted. Robert Devengenzo, the owner, promptly returned my call and said he was in the area and could stop over to discuss my project.

He was on time and just a professional businessman and a pleasure to talk with. He walked me through what he would recommend for our project, taking his time to discuss materials and drainage issues. Robert explained he would install french drains, tight lines and area drains. All-in, we probably talked for about 1 hour. I learned a lot in that short time.

When my wife got home I told her I believed I had found the man for our job and only hoped his bid wasn't prohibitively expensive. I had one bay area drainage company come out and their bid knocked me out of my chair- especially after they spent just enough time at my home to run a roll-a-tape around to measure the area and quickly say I will receive their bid in about 1-2 weeks. Robert Devengenzo came in with what I thought was a very fair bid, not the least expensive, but fair.

I was tickled and called Robert and told him I wanted him to handle my job. We completed the necessary paperwork and about 3 weeks later they began the job. Robert's crew arrived on time daily, consisting of 5-6 guys full-time on my job. Before they touched anything, his crew installed a very nice construction fence to secure my patio area so my two miniature wiener doggies would still be able to go outside without getting into the main yard. Robert's bobcat (tractor) did the heavy excavation and his employees expertly handled the delicate work with hand tools.

All of the materials Robert explained he would use are exactly what he brought to the job. No inexpensive junk here. The entire job took 9 days and when they were done, aside from the perfect grading of the yards, and the new area drains and downspout collectors, you would never know they had been here. Listen, when it comes to your home, you don't want water issues compromising your foundation or house.

I can't tell you how pleased I was when I donned my rain boots after a recent downpour, the first of the year, and went out to our original storm drain in the rear of our yard and watched as all of the water emptied into it. It was quite a satisfying experience. I thoroughly enjoyed Robert's crew; they were all polite and professional. Robert was there every day, at least twice a day supervising the job.

When Robert wasn't here, Luis Arellano, his job foreman, made sure everything was done perfectly. I whole heartedly recommend Robert Devengenzo & Company for your drainage needs. They will do it right and you will never have to worry about rain and standing water again. Thanks to Robert, Luis and the rest of the crew for taking care of my project and allowing my wife and I to relax when it rains. Michael & Ann Marie H.

We hired the Devengenzo Company to work on our new home. The company installed receding lights, worked on drainage, installed engineered floors, and cabinetry. It has been a wonderful and stress free experience. Easy access, always showed up at the appointed time and the pricing was good as well.

We recently completed a kitchen and family room remodel with Devengezno Co. and couldn't be happier. Nick built us our dream kitchen and our friends are completely speechless when they walk in the door. A few important points I want to stress: - The quality is bar none. Nick recommended a terrific custom cabinet maker and vendors who sold us quality appliances, fixtures and a wonderful painter and really thorough electrician who completed the project.

I had made a few changes to the cabinets and it was no problem at all. Nick really listened to my vision for the kitchen and was so flexible with my style and any last minute changes I made. It's a dream to cook and we have so much more space for all of our appliances and cookware and it was truly a custom project that reflected exactly what we were looking for. - Devengenzo Co. was very professional.

The crew was always on time, very conscious of cleaning up at the end of the day, very courteous and walked me through any unforeseen problems that we came across. For example, we had to do extensive re-wiring for the electricity that the previous family had botched when they remodeled the house 15+ years ago. Nick was very up front with the situation and always gave us a number of options of what to pursue to fix the issue.

Thank God Nick and his team educated us about the situation because we avoided electrical fires due to bad existing wiring. - They went the extra mile. I had a couple of add ons during the project (a new front door and framing of the front door window.) Nick and his crew went the extra mile and never cut any corners. He selected beautiful front doors that reflected my style and came after the project was finished to help my husband rewire our entertainment system.

We also had cracks in our fireplace and he completely remodeled the fireplace and it looks beautiful. - They came in on time and on budget. Nick gave us a proposed timeline and budget and with the exception of the add ons, we came in on time and on budget for the entire project. I would absolutely recommend Devengenzo Co. for your next remodel. Nick is an artist and a perfectionist and that's exactly who you want working on your project. I'm very excited to recommend him and Devengenzo to friends and neighbors.

Nick, Luis, Bob and team just finnished a fabulous kitchen re-do for us. They finnished on time and within budget. They're perfectionists, and Nick made many valuable design & construction suggestions. They also helped when some of the inevitable glitches happened during construction, posing solutions to some problems that came along the way.

This was the second time we used them, did another remodel couple years ago, and I can't say enough good about them! Highly recommend them for their knowledge, skill & integrity. They are the most honest contractors I know. (usually an oxymoron) There are perfectionists, and Nick came back after completion to look @ and fix 2 minor issues I had. Strongly recommend them!

I have been a customer of Devengenzo Construction for over 10 years. Bob, Nick and crew are the most ethical and honest people you could hire. Over time, they have done drainage work, landscaping, room remodeling, curb construction, street paving, interior and exterior electrical and irrigation systems on our home. Everything was perfect! When my daughter bought a home, Bob personally inspected it, and not only brought the property up to proper building codes for safety, but also ensured the structural components, plumbing, etc. were working flawlessly. It is a pleasure working with Devengenzo Construction. They take pride in impeccable workmanship and do the job right the first time.

Be warned! Devengenzo Construction was the General contractor who subcontracted Omega Floors to do my hardwood floor installation. I had Hardwood floors installed by the subcontractor Omega Floors in April of 2012 by the owner who is Dave. When the installation began there where terrible squeaks and I told Dave that we have an installation problem but he kept telling me that everything will be fine that he was installing it correctly.

Well this is July and my entire upstairs in my home has terrible squeaking sounds like the sample you will see and hear in this YouTube video. Both Omega Flooring of Concord CA and Devengenzo Construction refuse to do anything about it claiming that the floor was installed correctly and they don't know how to fix the squeaks. In fact Devengezo Construction never came back to my house after I paid him in full. Here is the link to YouTube: http://youtu.be/tkiOxMqeKhw

Bob and his team did a drainage project for me at my home, and we are completely satisified. They were all very friendly, considerate, and cleaned up at the end of every day as if they'd never been there. He was very knowledgable about the problem, and helped educate us on alternative solutions. We takes great pride in his work, and even guarantees that the system would work as promised.

He even came back to our house on his own a couple of times to fix up a couple areas so that it met "his" high quality expectations. "Trust" is one of the most important qualities in any service provider, I can confidently say that I would trust Bob Devengenzo to do any work at my home. In fact, we will likely be hiring him soon for some upgrade projects.
