In the portico of the Paleo Christian church of Santa Maria in Cosmedin, at the foot of the Aventine hills, a Roman statue is conserved that has attracted the attention and curiosity of tourists from all over the world. It is the "Bocca della Verit", which in English means the Mouth of Truth, an ancient stone mask from the Classical period that represents a river god with an open mouth, wide eyes and a flowing mane of hair. The reason for its unshakeable fame is a rather macabre legend associated with the mask since ancient times.
I met my clients at the Garden Conservancy Spring Garden tour of Pikake Gardens. Somehow we got to talking and when he discovered that I had created Pikake, he came up to me and hugged me. He told me that he had been looking for me (or someone like me) for a long time. Being hugged by a strange man surprised me but it was the beginning of a great working relationship and friendship.
With a view of the Pacific Ocean the Alta Vista Gardens Labyrinth was built around a granite sculpture. Due to space constraints we chose to build a 65' wide Five Circuit Labyrinth. The Labyrinth was built around the "Broken Link" sculpture by Tony Amatto. It is located on the leading south west corner of the upper plateau of AVBG.

I hired Bryan Morse several years ago to design my couple acre front and back yard to the time of $120,000+. Lack of attention to detail and not instructing and overseeing employee well led to an uneven wall (6 inch difference from one side of stairway to other), a pond that has required constant repair, and now a driveway that had to be torn up because he installed it over my leach lines.

His work was poor and follow thru non-existent. He was very difficult to work with and made a lot of mistakes that ended up costing me quite a bit of money. The driveway had to be torn out recently to repair leach lines. In an effort to have the driveway replaced quickly and simply because he had the knowledge of how it was originally installed, I contacted him for an estimate to repair it.

Over a month later, I still have not received the rough estimate that I told him my insurance company needed ASAP or they would deny my claim. I do not recommend this company. If there was an option for zero stars, that is what I would have given.

Bryan is an extremely talented artist. The results are transformative. I can't wait to recharge in the beautiful natural space he created, every morning and at the end of each day. If you are looking for something extraordinary, I highly recommend Expanding Horizons!
