Services
Landscapes are born out of a desire to change, a need of functionality, or the want to compliment a new home/business. Whatever the origin, the outcome will be bettered by a professional design. Landscaping without a plan can easily result in unnecessary labor, extra materials, excessive water usage, dead plants, and drainage issues.
You're welcome to bring buckets, trash bins or shovel our bulk material into the back of a car or a truck with a topper. We are unable to load during extremely wet weather, but otherwise come by anytime during business hours for our bulk materials. Mulching provides many benefits to a garden, both functional and aesthetic.
Visit our locally owned and operated full service Garden Centre, stocked with plants tried and true for our region and carefully selected from growers in Montana, Idaho, and Canada. Enjoy our display gardens, water features, walkways and patios, and vegetable gardens to inspire your gardening. Browse our complete line of eco-friendly products for your garden, as well as tools, seeds, containers, gloves, and other gardening necessities. Order quality bulk materials for daily pick-up or delivery including: topsoil, compost, bark mulches, and custom-mixed soils.
If you need to cancel, please let us know so that we can alert others if there is a waiting list. For workshops that have been paid for, cancellations will be accepted up to one week prior to the workshop for a refund. During the busy spring season we will have designated class parking, please watch for signs as you enter Gardenwerks.

Gardenwerks is the best of the best! I have used them for the last three years for all my gardening needs. From delivering topsoil straight to my yard, to sourcing the best plants for my yard + garden. I even placed a same day order for topsoil and they delivered on time with no hiccups. Ordering was super easy online, and you even get a text when they are loading up + on their way. Super convenient!

Fantastic locally-owned business. We've purchased trees and landscaping supplies from them in the past. Most recently I used their online order process to have several yards of landscaping mulch delivered - it arrived less than 2 hours after I placed the order. Delivery truck driver was friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

So nice to our small environmental club at Helena Middle School for giving us a huge discount. So complaint compared to other nurseries and so far we have had great service.

Don't buy the garden dirt. Three years ago we got the Garden Select for our beds. Dirt that probably graduated Magna Cum Laude from Vassar, given the price. It was clay powder. I could tell it was clay when I was loading it up, but I figured "what do I know, these are the experts." We would have been better off with topsoil. We have added compost, aeration, etc for 3 years. It's getting better, but the soil is still too tight for roots and water still puddles on the surface.

We have hundreds of dollars and days of labor in trying to turn this stuff into actual soil. By the way, the only reason I was hauling it myself was that they told me it would be 6 weeks for delivery, that they were all booked up. They should hire some more guys and deliver fraudulent dirt all day, every day. Maybe they have by now? You can call the gravel people in the morning and have gravel the same day. We'll probably buy trees from them this fall. There's no hate here, just truth. Don't buy the dirt.

Tucked away just north of Bill Roberts GC, Gardenwerks is amazing. Their selection is as good as any nursery in the state and the local area growing knowledge they cheerfully include with every purchase will help keep it thriving. Stop in, Gardenwerks is something to see!
