Green Connection

My favorite greenhouse in Anchorage! I recently started to get back into my houseplant hobby and have been visiting different nurseries and greenhouses based on recommendations. Green Connection has exceeded my expectations. Their greenhouse is huge and I can only imagine what it's like in the spring and summertime. They have a wide selection of tropical houseplants and everything always looks so healthy and well maintained.

My husband and I came here on two consecutive weekends and walked out with plants both times. The monstera I brought home two weeks ago as been growing like crazy and I can't wait to see it grow once we get even more sun. The staff is also very kind and helpful without being overbearing. They've given me good advice and insight when I had questions. Prices are fair and it helps their plants look happy and healthy. They also sell macrame hangers and pots, some of which are made locally. Overall, I love this greenhouse, I'll definitely be frequenting this place for houseplants.

GC is my favorite local plant spot. They have a large selection of common & uncommon plants, beautiful planters, and accessories in a large space that doesn't feel cramped and overwhelming. It feels like you're in a private garden. Their prices are on point and their staff is welcoming, knowledgeable and accommodating. Stop by, even if you don't think you need a plant. You probably do.

Wonderful greenhouse/plant nursery. They have tons of different plant species to choose from, and so many of each that you're bound to find something to take home.

My best kept secret. I knew of GC for a long time but only as a name that catered to businesses. I had no idea they also sold plants to anyone and had such an awesome greenhouse set-up. It's easy to miss the turn-in to this place but they have a sign on the road to help you. It's such a vibe to just come and walk around. When you walk-in you are instantly hit with humidity. Jungle, Island vibes.

Take a breath and get some zen. I know where I'll be escaping to in the dark cold of winter. Everything is well organized and looks tended to. The staff always greets you but allows you to peruse. There are plants at every price point. I frequent GC and TFC interchangeably for houseplants. Their prices for houseplants are about the same except TFC makes it a bit more affordable for people outside a business to own larger plants. GC has a larger houseplant selection though. GC also has an outdoor area where trees for sale are held and when it's sunny it's so beautiful to see those too. I find it impossible to leave this sanctuary empty handed.

I am always impressed with Green Connection. A well run greenhouse with lots of plants and things to do with plants. Indoor plants, outdoor plants, garden plants, vegetable plants. The staff is friendly and easy going. They are now open 7 days a week.

This is my favorite houseplant shop in Anchorage. They have great variety in a range of sizes, helpful service, and beautiful containers. I was able to find some glass propogation tubes here after other places in town sold out. The discount tables have plants at bargain prices. Little grab bags of moss and potting mix at check out are also super convenient. Highly recommend a stop here!

First of all plant heaven! Love the gals that helped my boyfriend pick out the 3 beautiful plants he got me for our anniversary. The plants were not only healthy, but just beautiful. Love this place definitely coming back!

Great place! Good prices. I want to ask if you guys take requests for plants? If there is a kind of plant you don't have, can customers request some to come in? Such a nice and clean greenhouse. My husband normally dosnt like going to plant stores but he really enjoyed being there today. All of the plants looked very healthy and of good quality so it was nice to go to a greenhouse and be pleasantly shocked at the quality. They have all kinds of different plants. You won't be upset!

Went in to "browse" with my wife. Walked out with a few different plants. Very nice environment, lots of selection, but mostly the person working there was super friendly and helpful.

I'm very new to gardening and had questions about a lavender plant I had bought elsewhere and the staff were more then willing to share their knowledge on how to care for it. They have a great selection of indoor plants, but what really has made this my go to place for gardening is the friendly, helpful, and expert staff.

This place is amazing! Just walk inside and you'll see exactly what I mean. I was buying a couple plants for my apartment and Monica helped me. She was very knowledgeable and polite and just a cool lady. Everything is reasonably priced too.

The Green Connection is a houseplant lover's dream. It doesn't look like much from the outside and it's in a shit neighborhood, but it's actually a very upscale business. Given the size if many of their plants, clearly they cater to businesses, the wealthy and SERIOUS hobbyists. I visit greenhouses every chance I get no matter where I travel, and I must say this is one of the finest I've been to.

Their plants are immaculately attended to. I didn't set a single dry, wilty, or diseased plant anywhere. Not even a brown or yellow leaf! It made my plant loving heart sing. It's like a tropical Eden paradise. A nice surprise was their beautiful pot selection, plant domes and table top gardening items. Definitely if you want to pay top dollar for a perfect gift for the plant lover in your life, your money will be well spent.

If you come here, expect tropical plants for your indoor needs. They have high quality bromliads and flowering plants that you'd find in Hawaii and southern CA. I did see some hanging baskets but those were made especially for a client. Just keep in mind this is for indoor use only. Staff is friendly and they get shipments in about once a month. Prices are a little higher than I'd want to pay, but the quality is supurb. One thing drives me crazy is I kept missing the turn from 15th into their parking lot. Need a bigger sign!
