Bret, a local native to the Portland area, founded Hillside Landscape Maintenance in the spring of 1997. He comes from a family of self employed individuals but the family businesses were not his cup of tea, so he decided to go in a whole new direction. He has always had a love of the outdoors so what better place to work outside than the wonderful Pacific Northwest!
We service most all areas in the Portland metro area and are always expanding into new ones. Our current service areas are all of Portland, Gresham, Troutdale, Milwaukie, Gladstone, Oak Grove, Sellwood, East and West Moreland, Clackamas, Parts of Happy Valley and Beaverton. Great company. Had them convert the grass around my fence and bushes to bark/mulch. They responded quickly to my request and were quick to get me the estimate. A few weeks later they got the work done and it looks great. Will be calling them in the fall to have them replace some bushes. Services: Lawn landscaping, Mulching

I did my due diligence and called several contractors. I chose these guys because they were the ONLY ones to call me back (landscapers extremely busy right now). That being said, when the crew came out here, they did a great job - and were fast about it too. A cleanup that would've take me prob a couple weeks, only took them a few hours. Several of my neighbors have commented how nice it looks and how fast the guys worked.

Hillside Landscape Maintenance has helped me with several projects in my yard over the years. I always call on them because I know I will be treated more than fairly. Their crews are super friendly and efficient. Truly a pleasure to have them do the work I cannot. Amy in the office is a gem. She is very helpful and responds sooner than promptly! I can't recommend these guys highly enough! All my neighbors now want to have work done by them also.

I am notorious for letting my yard go for a year or more - I keep the lawn mowed, that's about it. Being older, I don't have the physical ability to keep the shrubs and trees under control any longer. I call the gang at Hillside every other year or so, and within a few weeks my yard is absolutely beautiful! No longer the eyesore of the neighborhood, but almost the prize of the neighborhood, instead.
I can't tell you how many of my neighbors comment on how good it looks and what a fantastic job they did! They always do an incredible job, in timely fashion and right in line with the estimate given.

Hillside Landscape Maintenance installed new sod for us today along with removing 3-4 of clay in prep for the sod. They are top notch from the business team to the team that puts in the hours to transform your space. Arrived prompt and on time, ready to get to work. Couldn't have imagined a better result. Critical: Professionalism I would highly suggest NOT starting work on NW 29th Ave @7:30 am on Thursdays. Waking up the neighborhood with loud noise from Leaf Blowers and Lawn Mowers is NOT cool. People are trying to sleep. Macleay Park Condominiums can wait a little later in the day to have the tiny patch of grass cut. Thanks

Hillside does an excellent job in making my landscaping beautiful. As I use them every year, I don't need to give lengthy explanations for the annual yard cleanup. The office staff is responsive and professional, and I appreciate the willingness of Hillside to do small jobs as well as larger ones. Quality at a fair price.
