History Report

It was a different era in 1959 when Mark King's father, Elbert King, started a landscaping company in Darien, IL. With only a few part-time employees on staff, Elbert worked rigorously to develop a business that would help support his family and allow him to work creatively. Mark started working for his father at an early age, doing what he could to help support the fledgling company. He learned every aspect from planting and design to managing and installation by the time he took over in the early 80's.

Since 1988, Mark has been President of King's Landscape Design. With over 30 years of experience, Mark knows what it takes to establish King's Landscape Design as a leader in design, construction, and customer service. He oversees the progress of all on-going projects, and ensures that each job is done with pride, precision, and customer satisfaction.

Over the last 20 years, we've tried numerous grass cutting, lawn maintenance and lawn & garden maintenance companies. King's is by far the best! They are responsive and their crews are professional and detailed-oriented. Our lawn and gardens have never looked better.

We had them do a mulch job but they never finished the employees were very mean to me and my family too. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND. Do a poor job overall.
