Our Garden Center is open every day with 1000's of plants to choose from. We have sample gardens on-site, and will help you during the entire selection process. Customer service at its best! I ordered my annual mulch delivery from Kirshner and it was delivered as scheduled. After spreading the mulch around my yard, I soon realized that that my order was short by about one yard. I called Kirshner to inquire and within 20 minutes they arrived at my house with another yard+. Wow! Awesome responsiveness.

I had a water issue in my basement from a sump pump that stopped working. I had the sump pump replaced but, being a bit concerned of any power outage (no battery backup yet), I wanted to get a few sandbags to place around the sump pump hole, just in the event of any issues. I went to Kirshners Nursery on Rt. 413 in Newtown and was greeted by a delightful woman naned Kim.
She had such a genuine desire to help me and then called in an associate named Rich who was just as friendly and eager to help me. In fact, Rich took the time to empty out another bag so that he could fill it with sand that would then give me 2 large sand bags I was looking for to place around the sump pump. The point of this review, is the friendliness and desire to help a customer goes a long way in not only keeping someone as a customer, but letting others know the kind of people working at Kirshners. Jeff was a creep who kept flirting with my wife when he visited my house. I thought that maybe I misunderstood. Left messages with the staff for Jeff to call back with the estimate, but got no response. Went to them and saw Jeff after two weeks. When I asked if he remembered us he said "I remember your wife". We were stunned and just walked away. What a pathetic little man

Kirshner's has a great selection of plants, but living in the city with a concrete yard and a hot air compressor unit blowing almost constantly, most plants do not survive these conditions. I went to Kirshner's to get some recommendations and plant talk, and Jeff and Drew were very helpful in the selection process. I planted these in my urban jungle and After growing back a second time this is my 3rd year with them!

AVOID AVOID SCAMMERS - So upset with the run around I was given by this company. I paid over 4K for trees that I DID NOT APPROVE OR WANT! I asked for large thick blue spruces and only 5 of them. what was delivered was truly the most expensive small "Christmas trees" I have ever seen. it was not what was discussed and I have tons of messages to prove it.
I could have gone to Home Depot and saved myself the hassle and paid a quarter of the cost they gave charged me. After many back and fourth messages with the owner and his son, I asked for a credit to just be done with the situation and after 3 months no response or giving me an end result. Its unacceptable that these people are my neighborhood landscape yard yet this is how they treated me.
I've gone ahead and purchased trees and other plants from shady brook farms instead and was given better service, a more healthy tree and a better experience overall. I completely agree with the other reviews that the owner just likes to tell "stories" and will talk your ear off yet never pull the trigger to make things right. I wouldn't buy even a $20 plant here! And Yes I am venting but I've given them 3 plus months to fix an issue and no results.

I have been trying to obtain a quote for a major landscaping job at my house in the Newtown area. I called Kirshner and was transferred to Jeff Kirshner, who said he would stop by my house to take a look and then give me a call. 3 days went by and I received no call, however my wife said he did stop by the house and look around. Finally I called them back to find out the status, Jeff said he would like to stop by tomorrow to discuss.
I figured he would give me the quote at that time, but nothing was prepared, which was OK because we talked about different design ideas anyway. This was on a Saturday, and Jeff said he would call me on Monday with a quote. Monday came and went, with no call or quote, I waited over 1 week and then called them. I expressed my concerns to the nice lady who answered the phone, about how Jeff has not once reached out to me.
She said he was in a meeting and promised he would call me back in the afternoon. Not surprisingly I never received a call back. At this point, even if they do call back, I'm certainly not interested in doing business with someone who can't return a simple phone call. Keep in mind, my project was not a small job by any means, Kirshner could have made a nice profit on it. If it was too big for them, they should have just told me from the beginning instead of stringing me along.

Stopped by Kirshner Landscapes a couple of days ago. I was greeted by a associate who was able to help me with my planting questions. The gentleman assisted me with choosing the freshest cabbage/kale plants for my fall/winter planters. There was a large selection to choose from and all looked hearty, crisp, and really fresh. I highly recommend shopping here for all your plants and flowers. They have a nice selection to choose from and the guys there are always willing to help. Thanks again! A+A+
