Landscape Design

I will say that Ian is amazing and he has done a great job designing our front yard, including the retaining wall, and the hog wire fence. He listened to what my wife and I wanted, and he hit all of the high points. GREAT JOB IAN!

I was able to have a planter behind my apartment landscaped by Hall Landscape Design. Ian Hall met with me and provided an accurate rendering of his proposal. Hall's team then implemented the design by clearing the planter, installing irrigation, drainage, lighting, and plants. The end result was phenomenal and exceeded my expectations. Becky kept me abreast of the timeline and helped with ordering water features. I am looking forward to using Hall Landscape Design for my next home.

We enjoyed working with Ian on our backyard project. Ian listened to what we wanted to accomplish with drought tolerant plantings and also added a water feature to our plans/thoughts. Obviously the Covid crisis delayed the project from start to finish, but that wasn't a huge concern given that we weren't going anywhere in a hurry as time has shown.

The new design really picked up the appearance of the yard and has made it more inviting to sit outside and enjoy. Ian is very knowledgeable about plants, irrigation and design, and is a very likeable and easy to get along with. I would certianly recommend Ian and his company to others.

Ian did a wonderful job working with us on our landscape design. He listened to our input and developed a very viable plan witth the "right" plants/trees and flow. Additionally, he spent a day on the property during the construction to specify where different large rocks should go and found free dirt for us from another client. Ian Hall did a great job helping us design the landscaping around our house after the 2017 fire. I recently worked with Beckie Kover in the Sacramento area to create an outdoor living space for our backyard. Beckie was attentive to my ideas and incorporated them into the overall design while finding ways to complement and improve upon them. She helped take my vision and bring it to life with many other features I didn't consider to create a fantastic plan that I can use to hire the right contractor. I would definitely consider hiring her for your landscape design needs!

I've worked with Hall Landscape Design on multiple projects, both new construction and remodel. Ian has great vision & communicates that vision clearly. His encyclopedic plant knowledge and design sense make him my go-to designer when a landscape overhaul is needed. Ian is particularly skilled in hillside/mountain landscapes, and native species to achieve a lush, natural look. As a bonus, he's one of the nicest guys you'll meet! We have a lot of property - with almost no topsoil, and loads of boulders, some steep hillsides and plenty of hungry deer at our weekend home in the Napa Valley. We want to live here in the valley in concert with nature, not battling it. Any landscaping here makes for a challenging project. It takes some serious knowledge of native soil conditions, native plants, and ever present concerns about water usage, to come up with a viable design and plan.

Enter Ian Hall, who understood our needs and fully understands the soil conditions and all the concerns we have. With his beautiful, natural design sense, he's captured just what we wanted to achieve - all with respect to the existing features of our unique property.
