Very poor customer service. The installation and follow up on the workings of the system (especially by Todd) was great. However at the time of the installation in my new home I asked the technician how I would learn to use the irrigation scheduling box, and he told me that he was setting everything up for me and he would be the one to show me how to use it later.

That is all the communication I received, no information about the schedule needing to be changed once the sod was set, no other additional follow up. Apparently before they left they placed a list of printed instructions under the box; and no mention was made of that either. After I received a call from the City of Prior Lake that I had used an excessive amount of water (and would be receiving a very high water bill), I followed up with Midwest Landscapes and learned that the schedule was supposed to have been changed weeks ago. I was told "the paper by the scheduling box has all the information in it." Gee thanks.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality Our builder used these guys for our trees. First they installed too close to the curb (city requires 10ft). They came out and moved it right smack in the middle of the clearly marked utility lines! Now they won't move it. I'm fairly certain the tree is dead too. Fix this!

I would not recommend Midwest landscapes to anyone. They were responsible for planting trees in our entire neighborhood and for landscaping around our home, hired by our home builder, Pulte Homes. Almost half of all the trees planted in our neighborhood died the next summer and had to be replaced, but the replacements weren't much better and I continue to see dead, dying, or diseased trees throughout our neighborhood.

When confronted about this, their response was: Our landscape warranty requirement with Pulte Homes is a one-year, one time replacement warranty from the date of installation. The one-year warranty is designed to help lower the burden on the homeowner should a new tree or plant not make it through the 1 year establishment period. Lower the burden on the homeowner?

By making them pull-out and replace the dead, dying, and diseased tree(s) that they planted not once, but twice. That should tell you everything you need to know about this company and their customer service.

Customer Service/follow up has been lacking. I have wanted to talk with someone for several weeks about a simple programming issue for my irrigation and after calling in three times for someone to answer a question I have been unable to get a response. Very frustrating and although my irrigation is working I would recommend looking elsewhere if you want any attention after they have your money.

Rarely do I feel the need to give a less than average review, but this company is quite possibly the definition of unprofessional service and poor workmanship. It took 45 days of phone calls to finally receive a simple answer to our warranty claim on a dead tree they planted for us. I finally had to drive to their office and wait in the lobby until they decided to speak to me to resolve my issue.

This company also installed my sprinkler system but somehow managed to leave the hoses & pipes barely covered, thus leaving little trenches and "dips" in my yard. Poor customer service, lack of quality, and employes who could care less about the customer. I pray this business dissolves before anymore of the residents in this community are swindled with false claims of good service and workmanship!

Rude customer service. I called them inquiring about landscaping services for my backyard. Yesterday they called me back and said they would be coming over then abruptly called me later again to say "Something more important came up. Sorry, not coming." No big deal. I get it. I asked when we could reschedule and he said tomorrow morning. I waited around all morning for him to come.

When he arrived he did not even say hello when I opened the door, just said "I'm not at all interested in this." And walked away. He had not even seen the backyard. I pretty much wasted a whole morning waiting for them. A little extra energy to be polite goes a long way. Would not recommend.

Midwest Landscapes caters to construction companies and seems to have low regard for home owners. They planted new trees in our development that carried Japanese beetles and already showed half the leaves eaten. Very sad first impression. I would not call this company for landscape work.

I am totally frustrated with the Midwest Landscape service. We have requested for 5 trees replacement in month of April since the trees were dead and still nothing has been initiated and there is no scheduled date that has been communicated yet. Every time we call the customer service, we have been told that there is no specific date but it could be another 3-4 weeks. Is their plan is to replace it in fall or winter? It is going to be same as what we are having dead trees now.

Midwest landscapes is a fantastic organization that does great work. They did the work on my house and it is gorgeous. They were in and out fast and you could tell they really took the time to turn my vision into a reality. They were easy to contact and were quick to answer any questions we had or fix any minor issues with installation. Would highly recommend looking into midwest landscapes and some of the beautiful work they've done.

I am horribly disappointed with the quality of service and inconsistency of work with Midwest Landscapes. I moved into a new development that used Midwest Landscape as the irrigation contractor. From the beginning we have had issues. The company installed systems at 4 houses on our street that same day and all of the other homes have the junction boxes located in an inconspicuous place by the corner of the house except ours.

Our junction box is in the middle of the yard right where you would either put a deck or patio since it is located about 15 feet straight out from our patio door. When I called about this issue I was told there could be many reasons why the box is placed there. The kicker is our next door neighbor has the exact back yard layout and back of the house, yet their box is located by the house not in the middle of the yard.

They were unwilling to make an effort to satisfy an unhappy customer and instead became angry with me when I asked how that system can be that dramatically different than ours. Then on top of the poor placement of the box, a week after the irrigation system was installed, the main sprinkler line burst creating a sinkhole in my yard. I flagged down a worker who came in a repaired the line but they left my yard a mess.

They did not replace any of the ground that had washed away leaving it very lumpy and noticeable uneven not to mention left our brand new sod also left a mess. I would not recommend using them for irrigation services.
