Bored with the usual offerings, we started growing unusual flowers for our clients in our small home greenhouse that Reg had built. I (Terry) would scour every seed catalog and whatever was different, I would order and grow. New introductions? A new color, size or heirloom seed? Those were the qualities that caught my eye as well as feeding my own craving for uncommon annuals.
It is hard to believe that it has been over25 years! Reg's dream to have a little nursery tucked in the trees in his hometown of East Falmouth has grown to what it is today. Fueled by Terry's interest in unusual plants, the nursery is now a destination for all gardeners. Keeping checking The Latest Dirt to be the first to know what's coming off the trucks and seasonal specials!.
The owners and staff at Soares Nursery are well-qualified to serve your needs for plants and landscaping. Unified by a passion for gardening, our friendly team of very knowledgeable horticulturists is devoted to excellent customer service. Soares is excited to announce the return of the Vegetable Garden Intern Program. This program is designed to give BEGINNING gardeners the opportunity to work with Marte Ayers at our vegetable garden at Soares Flower Garden Nursery on Sandwich Rd for the 2022 season. Marte is a skilled gardener and beekeeper who grew up on a Vermont farm.

Let me just say, I love flowers but I am the worlds worst gardener. Everyone always says, "try these plants, you can't kill them." Well, I can. But every plant I have gotten from Soares has thrived, even under my care. My window boxes are gorgeous - My potted pansies are healthy and happy. And for the first time ever, I grew 3 sunflowers from the free seeds they gave us and they are already about 7 inches tall! My proudest gardening accomplishment. The staff is so knowledgeable and friendly, even when I message them stupid questions. I can't say enough good things about this place.
