At our 6 acre garden center in Rhinebeck, we boast a large selection of plants, from your bread and butter to the rare and unique, including: annuals, perennials, shrubs, trees (B&B and container), vines, houseplants & tropicals, seasonal/holiday, organic vegetable & herb starts, and more! Prefer to start from scratch?
First, you need to figure out how much space you're trying to cover. You'll need to take measurements to find out how much square footage there is and how many inches deep you plan to make it to find out how many cubic feet you'll need. Try Coast of Maine's Mulch & Soil Calculator to find out how many bags you'll need in 2 cuft or 3 cuft.
Need some work done? Whether you just need a spring cleanup or a complete landscape overhaul we've got you covered! Owners Tony, Dave, and James head up the crews and can always be found on the job site. They will walk your property with you and create a personalized layout for your tastes and budget.

I was searching for a native (less invasive) wisteria. The staff were very friendly and helpful. She radioed in to determine if they had it in stock and walked me to the location because she wanted to know the location for future reference. Nice. The price was moderate but I was able to find exactly what I wanted so the value is high. I also purchased an azalea, and some annuals for porch pots. All the flowering plants I saw were very healthy with loads of buds. I will go back.

My partner and I drive over an hour every single year to visit Phantom Gardener because they are hands down the best! It's great knowing that everything available is sustainably sourced, and on top of that, the quality of the plants themselves are wonderful. Best part of this place though is the staff. Incredibly knowledgeable and helpful!

This place is great! They specialize in quality plants and superb customer service. Julianne is wonderful. She gets the customer what the customer wants. A pleasure to deal with. All the staff is great as well. I tell all of you to go there and see the variety and the quality selection for yourself. I appreciate them and look forward to going each and every spring for my special plants
