At Rhine, we offer custom solutions for your outdoor living enjoyment. We provide landscaping and landscape maintenance - including seasonal maintenance plans, hardscaping, such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls. In addition, some of our most popular outdoor living space options include stone fireplaces and fire pits, outdoor kitchens, pergolas, and pavilions. At Rhine, we also have a dedicated water management team, solely focused on exterior basement waterproofing, landscape drainage solutions, and more.
Often considered "softscape", trees, shrubs, and flowering plants, are the outdoor elements that make your house a home. Functionality is the driving force behind strong landscaping design, followed by visual appeal. Professional landscape architects will develop a customized planting plan based on the unique features of the client's home and outdoor space.
Maintaining landscape features will help ensure that plants, flowers, and trees stay strong and healthy, allowing the client to enjoy them for many seasons. Maintenance plans include regular grass mowing, trimming, and weed whacking, edging, and blowing off all hard surfaces so that clients are left with a pristine looking manicured lawn each week.
Rhine Landscaping works in partnership with a specialty company that applies chemicals, fertilizers and weed treatments to lawns, shrubs and trees for optimal growth. Rhine Landscaping has the ability to test soil properties, which allows them to identify potential problems and provide proper care year-round.

Jay stopped by to give us an estimate for a drainage issue. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Told us our options and calmed us down a little bit on our water issues. Told us what we need to do to fix it but it wasn't immediately necessary. We will likely be hiring them for this project in the future.

I contacted Rhine Landscaping via email for a few projects at my backyard. Rhine Landscaping responded within 24 hours and we scheduled a meeting within the same week. Jay, the owner, arrived on time and listened to/answered all my questions (I had plenty) and explained in detail what he plans to do. I received a detailed proposal within a week and Jay was very responsive for any follow-up questions which I had.
The overall experience has been great so far and we are very excited to get the project scheduled. I highly recommend Rhine Landscaping to anyone who is looking for first class service. Update 4/27/2022: Our backyard project(s) were completed in April and the results are impressive. We are very happy! I am a very detail oriented person and can be challenging, but whenever a question or an additional (unplanned) request came up, Jay's crew was making recommendations and solved them.
In general, the crew was very experienced, kept me informed about the next steps, and delivered great results. The entire journey from the first interaction with Jay until completion was very professional and I am foreseeing that this was not our last project with Rhine Landscaping.

I contacted Rhine about obtaining a landscaping quote. When trying to schedule the consult, I simply asked if they had weekend hours available. They wrote back saying they did not and "We thank you for your consideration and wish you the best of everything." Basically conversation over. They were polite but it seemed extremely odd to dismiss a possible client after one question about scheduling. Moving on to another company.

From inception to completion, the service from Rhine was personal, and professional. The owner, design team, the front office staff and the crew were all amazing. Our front walkway is better than we could have imagined. The crew worked from dawn to dusk on Saturday and SUNDAY! They were a machine. Each crew member knew what their role was. As one truck departed another arrived.
They left the worksite in better condition than when they arrived. We are truly appreciative of the attention to detail and our expectations were very much exceeded with the finished product. We would highly recommend!

Rhine landscaping designed and built a patio arrangement for us and we had a pergola installed on it. The work Rhine did was excellent. The design was excellent and the workmanship during all phases of the installation were excellent. They cleaned up each day before leaving so the area looked pleasing even though you could see construction was ongoing.
The people work on the job were very friendly and were willing to answer any questions we had during the different phases of the construction. I would highly recommend them for any work you would like performed by them.

We used Rhine Landscaping to remove our old concrete sidewalk and replace it with interlocking pavers. Jay came up with a design that worked perfectly and it's absolutely beautiful. We also used Rhine to remove our old garden bed and replace it with all new landscaping. Everyone was a pleasure to work with - responsive, professional, and on time. Rhine landscaping did a phenomenal job with our backyard renovation. They came up with a plan to address our water drainage issues, designed a beautiful patio, removed a dead tree, and installed all new sod. Despite some delays with our pavers (not a fault of Rhine, an issue with supply due to covid), they were able to complete the project in a timely and thorough manner.
Our yard looks beautiful and every worker we have come into contact with has been incredibly professional and meticulous in their work. We are very impressed. These guys really know what they are doing and their workmanship is outstanding.

We really like our new walkway! Jay responded promptly to our initial call for estimates on this project and we chose his company based on our initial interview with him. The Rhine crew was very skilled and meticulous in the installation of our project and it shows! We first used Rhine Landscaping to convert our backyard from a mound of dirt on which weeds would not grow into an outdoor paradise, with various hardscape features including pavers, retaining walls, landscape lighting, drainage, a blue-stone walkway, and waterfalls. Rhine also landscaped the entire project, as well. The level of professionalism really begins with owner, Jay, who surveyed our situation, needs, and the potential to create a masterful outdoor living space, provided a detailed and accurate quote, and submitted architectural plans which enabled us to visualize, as best as is possible, what the completed project aimed to accomplish. Rhine's workmen were all and always polite, meticulous, neat, and respectful of questions or requests.
The finished project and all aspects of working with Rhine were, as shown, "5-STAR."
We subsequently had Rhine do two more smaller scale projects in the front of our home, which included more stone retaining walls, a small natural stone patio, stone pillars, and more drainage as necessary. We were equally pleased with the progression and results of these projects, too.
We purchased our home as a true "fixer-upper" long ago and have used numerous and varied home improvement services both inside and out. There is no company we could recommend higher or more than Rhine Landscaping - their work has made a huge difference to our home and outdoor enjoyment. Thanks, Jay!
