Rockledge Gardens Rockledge Gardens was founded in 1960 by Harry Witte, a bulb farmer who had settled in Brevard County in 1948 with his wife Mary. In the earliest days, before the Space Coast boom, Rockledge Gardens was essentially a road-side stand run on the honor system (our sign said, "grab a bag of soil and leave your money in the can"). Through the 1960s and 1970s we evolved into a full-fledged nursery business - the largest and most complete garden center in Brevard County.

Over the years Harry and Mary's six children took turns working in the family business; today Rockledge Gardens is owned and managed by their youngest daughter and her husband, Theresa and Kevin Riley.

We enjoyed walking around and looking at all the different plants. We went there to see the farmers market - not very much in that area. Just a few veggies and then other handmade items. No one in that area to check you out and the homemade food items were very pricey. The plants are always beautiful!

My husband and I love shopping around Rockledge Gardens on our weekends and we recently got married at the wedding venue. We were originally a 2020 marriage but with a spike and everything going on, we were able to post pone our wedding a year with no questions asked. We had the most beautiful wedding that exceeded both of our expectations. The whole planning process and communication was perfect and the day of was stress free thanks to the team.

I am a long term customer, over 15 years. I have seen years of glory and some decline, for the business but overall it is a good nursery for anything to garden. On my last visit I can see that inventory and service is good and the garden looks great. The one thing I don't like is that plants pricing is not clearly displayed as it used to be. In the past the price was on the info/legend tag, easily visual when shopping.

Right now prices are on tiny labels on the pots what makes difficult to know what you are buying. Please go back to your clear and visual prices. The prices are high but if they fair no reason to hide it.

We recently purchased several palm trees. The workers at Rockledge Gardens were very helpful and knowledgeable. We had several questions about the various types of palm trees, and they were able to help us decide which ones to purchase. Dave and Cody delivered and planted the trees today. They did an excellent job and were very efficient in completing their work in a timely manner. They also answered our questions about the near term care and feeding of our trees.

Removing bad reviews doesn't stop me from sharing with the community. I visited today due to a flyer on the Rockledge gardens Instagram advertising local produce, holiday dinner shopping etc. After arriving I realize there's nothing going on the gardens. I have refrained entering the farmers market portion due to a 'masks required' sign due to my husband and I having medical conditions that keep us from wearing them.

I walked the whole garden looking for the advertised event to no avail. I entered the farmers market in search of these items without a mask due to medical conditions. We walked past the first people working there with no problem only to be harassed by another. When she recommended a mask and I said no thank you I was told where I needed to get one I was then forced to divulge mine and my husbands medical conditions in order to continue shopping.

I decided to not support them after being discriminated against for medical conditions I shouldn't have to list to an employee of a farmers market in order to buy food for my family. I was then harassed in the parking lot by a woman who was laughing and pointing after overhearing the conversation I was having with my husband about what happened on the way out.

She stepped out of her vehicle and encouraged me to hit her and said if I had a problem with masks it was my problem. If I wouldn't have been harassed by the employees I never would have had to repeat my medical conditions out loud in order to shop peacefully and never would have been laughed at in the parking lot by others not knowing the disabilities I or my husband who is a disabled veteran have.

I will never patron this business again. Also per cdc guidelines and I quote " Masks should not be worn by: Children under 2 years A person with a disability who cannot wear a mask, or cannot safely wear a mask, for reasons related to the disability." Follow the guidelines 100% if you say that's who you're following. ***Considering fear is known to lower the immune system I keep my family positive and not living in fear thats how we've stayed healthy and unmasked for 2 years. The only scary thing is you guys pushing your standards and your medical discrimination because YOU live in fear.

We were looking for some ideas to make our yard unique. We were impressed with the new items on display. The staff was very helpful. We tried out the farmers market on site and bought some jellies for Christmas present for our children. Stop by and see what they have.

You can't help but love this place! The variety of plants is amazing. The expertise of the staff makes diagnosing any plant problem you might have a snap! Stop by the help desk and ask for Steve. He literally knows everything! Apparently you can even have a wedding there now and reserve their pavilion. They have a butterfly House with caterpillars and adult butterflies too. it's a great place to just go and wander around and get ideas for what you want your garden at home to look like. Like this review if you find it helpful.

Extensive grounds to showcase specimens are a tremendous source of inspiration. This has the best variety of wide range of plants, from annuals amd perennials to trees and shrubs, succulents and orchids. Also a great place for gifts and has a small farmers' market on site. Knowledgeable friendly staff make this one of my favorite places to sqiandering a weekend morning wandering.

A destination nursery with a lot of events (weddings, farmers markets, live music). Plants are a little in the expensive side but they do have 10 times the selection of anywhere else. I went to the farmers market and it was located inside the building. very few veggies and only fruit was apples. Pumpkins were small and expensive so we didn't buy much. If looking to get veggies, this is not the place

Today was a quick and new adventure for Mr. Williams and I: first time at the Rockledge Gardens. So much to see and admire from beautiful single flowers to trees ready to purchase and plant. Their farmers market is filled with fresh Jellies, jams, pastas( egg-less/vegan), fresh veggies, teas, etc. It's a dream to nature enthusiasts, botanists and photographers. Covid safety measures: 1. Masks required 2. Hand sanitizing stations 3. Cashier plastic covers Stay safe

Rockledge Gardens stands behind their products 100%. Beautiful place to browse for plants and their farmers market is amazing. This is the only place I will purchase plants from now on. They go above and beyond while beating ALL competition for customer service in the area! I will be a customer for life!

Beautiful grounds with a huge selection. These people know their plant life and love to help. Even if you don't need anything at the moment, it's a treat just to visit and walk around for the sheer beauty of it all.

Wonderful Rockledge Gardens. We are trying to save monarch butterflies in this area, and this morning found two caterpillars munching all the way to the roots of the few milkweed plants left. A quick call to Rockledge Nursery, and we had the pleasure of picking up more plants, as well as tips from their customer service department. A lovely peaceful spot, with so much in bloom.

This was a beautiful garden. I loved the way it was laid out and the variety of trees and flowers. There is things for kids to do to keep busy like a playground. There is a rather large pot bellied pig named Hamlet that resides there. He was fun to see. They had a lot of roses that I have not seen before. Some pretty color combinations. I loved the little bug area they had set up.

They also had some pretty gazebos and pergolas. Several water features and fountains and little waterfalls to enjoy. Lots of shady areas to take a moment in. The greenhouse was chalk full of shade plants and gorgeous Orchids. They had a good collection of air-plants. They also had some succulents of the echevarria variety. Most of them were already pre potted in tiny cute pots.

They had a pretty good succulent collection available. I think I would have liked to see more. The desert roses seemed a little pricey to me especially since they were cut back and no leaves or blooms really. Overall some of the prices for things seemed a little steep to me, and some seemed perfect. They had a cute store with pots and miniature garden figurines in it.

There was a huge selection of clay painted pots availjn They also had a seed packet store. There was a sweet little butterfly garden. It could have been kept up with a little better, but we are just coming out of winter so I assumed that was why it was looking a little sad. There were two or three butterflies already emerging from their cocoons. Overall pretty good experience. Organized and easy to get around.

The young girl that checked me out was very polite and quick with us. **I wanted to add that the Passion flower I purchased at this time has thrived and is blooming so nicely.

Coming to this place is a treat! Family owned and operated since 1960 and is the largest garden and nursery in Brevard County. Good place to visit and purchase your favorite plants: decorative plants, veggies, fruit trees and much more. Staff have the knowledge to answer all your questions.

We moved to Melbourne 6 years ago. Not knowing the area very well, we had to do a lot of shopping. Found Rockledge Gardens and never went anywhere else for our gardening needs. Everything is healthy, conducive to the area and comes with complete instructions if needed. We have since moved to the Champions Gate area and I am lost! I insist on driving back to Rockledge Gardens for my plants and I make a day of it. I not only make my stop at Rockledge Gardens but then have lunch with my old neighbors and hit Downtown Produce on my way. Its a great day!

Every time I've been there, without fail, the staff has been friendly and exceptionally helpful. Recently I caught a worker in the middle of an in-house landscaping project to ask what I thought was a quick question about suitable plants for the patio. I ended up getting a full tour of multiple areas and multiple solutions. That sort of service is not unusual. I've brought in pictures of diseased plants and gotten outstanding first-aid instructions and products. There's never any pressure to buy, the staff is knowledgeable, the grounds are beautiful and I never go to any other nursery any more. They Rock!

The prices here are incredibly low, especially for such a huge variety of plants. The outdoor furniture is hand-made and super reasonable. I don't understand how in earth anyone can think their prices are high. The bonsai trees are the cheapest I've ever seen. It's really the best garden store I've ever been to.
