This homeowner had an area at the back of their property that was very difficult to maintain. The solution to the problem was to install oversized stone on the sloped areas, a bark bed with plants on the flat area and timber steps in the lower slope. A ground cover bed at a commercial property was removed, regraded and turned into a low maintenance decorative gravel bed with a low hedge along the street sidewalk.
A leaning post and board retaining wall around a hot tub was removed. The existing bank was excavated to more than double the useable flat area leading to the hot tub. A treated timber retaining wall was installed and the existing plants were replanted behind the new retaining wall. The access area to the hot tub was prepared and paved with paving bricks matching the pavers around the hot tub. This timber retaining wall, steps and railing were constructed to provide a larger patio around an existing pool.
For fall clean-ups we use the most efficient equipment available. For larger open areas we use wheel mounted push blowers and back-pack blowers. Handheld blowers are used for the more confined areas. Rakes and low velocity hand blowing works best for areas with delicate plantings. The leaves and debris are loaded into trucks specifically set up for large capacities by using vacuum truck loaders. The fall clean-up canopies on the trucks are designed for large volumes of air flow thus allowing the truck loaders to "pack" the truck.

We contracted with Stubenhofer Landscaping to both build a paver patio (replacing an old wooden deck) and to do extensive landscaping in our treed backyard. From the very beginning Joe Stubenhofer was responsive and excellent with all communications. His quotes were clear and he was open to several back-and-forth iterations as we finalized what we wanted.
His crew, especially his foreman Bob were great to work with. They were polite and cleaned up at the end of every day. Bob brought issues to our attention, suggested solutions, and even suggested some enhancements that would save us money. Of most importance, both projects were completed in a reasonable amount of time and we are extremely pleased with the results. I would recommend them to others who are considering either landscaping or hardscaping, or both, as we did.

I had some Stone laid about 3 years ago and didn't realize that they don't put anything down under the stone first to keep the grass from coming up and the Stone from sinking, it left me with a lot of problems. I seem to have more work to do now than if I hadn't had them bring the stone. I have to have another landscape company come and remove the stone. I wish they had told me when I got my estimate!

Hung up on us once we asked to have our lawn mowed by them. Refused to help my mother when we had broken our lawn mower for a week and I couldn't get around to mowing the lawn. Gentleman that answered the phone showed no compassion and instantly hung up the phone on us. Would not recommend to anyone, there are far better people in the business to give your money to.
