Westwood Gardens Westwood Gardens is a family-owned nursery and garden center business with four locations in Northwest Arkansas. We specialize in growing many of our own plants to ensure the highest quality products. We have the widest selection of plants in Northwest Arkansas with hundreds of hand-grown annuals, unique perennials, trees, shrubs and tropicals.
Services
Our original store is on the west side of Fayetteville. All of our Westwood Grown Products are started and tended to here under the watchful eye of our grower. With over 180,000 square feet of greenhouses, this location is our biggest. Come see our new, bigger Main Showroom. We built this store ourselves over the winter of 2003/2004.
Many of our plants are grown right here in Northwest Arkansas, in our greenhouses. We are there every step of the way to ensure the highest quality plants. We have locations in Fayetteville, Springdale and Rogers and the widest selection of plants in the area.
Annuals only last one growing season, meaning they will not come back next year. However, they produce brilliant shows of color and fragrance that make them worth your while. These plants are perfect for adding color and interest to your gardens. They are also used heavily in patio pots and containers, which you have to change throughout the seasons anyway. Come see our HUGE selection of annuals today!
Perennials are plants that come back each year. They typically have shorter blooming periods than annuals, but you'll see them poke their heads up and come back to life year after year. We have lots of unique varieties of each of our perennials: most of which we grow ourselves right here in Northwest Arkansas. Come visit us and our perennials soon!

Staff is always extremely friendly every time we go. Their variety is huge. They have terra-cotta pots and many other kinds. All kinds of trees. All kinds of garden decor. I feel all at a reasonable price.

Fantastic selection of plants.largest one I have seen in quite some time I might add. Zeb was super helpful with helping my wife select what plants will grow well in her wine barrel planters. Definitely will be going back here in the future.

Live in Fayetteville for almost 30 years, first time purchaser. Nice variety of plants. Prices for herbs are a little pricey, but better than trying from seed on my own. Employees seemed indifferent for the most part. One young employee (male?) outside was the nicest I saw. The female employee at the register seemed bothered. She asked did I find everything I was looking for. I stupidly answered her. I should have known she was not looking for an answer or seeking to engage with customers. I might be back to see if this was just an off day.

Enormous variety of plants and pretty much anything you could want for a garden! Checkout process should be more clear for first time customers, but overall, friendly service.

The expert horticulturalist was not very patient with my novice questions but virtually everyone else was terrific. Considering I spent over $400 they should have been. The plants are wonderful and they have lovely pots and garden ornaments. And to be fair to the horticulturalist, I think I offended her with one particularly silly question.

Very nice perennial sections. Plants are on the pricey side, but you can often find multiple plants in a single pot that you can split off, reducing your cost per plant.

This place always has unique plants that you can't find anywhere else. High quality and pretty affordable considering. Buying local is something I like to do and Westwood is a great place to do that. Staff is always friendly and helpful. I have a 3 year old blue agave cactus from Westwood among other succulents and just bought another baby blue agave. I love the consistency that I could find the same exact cactus there 3 years later because no one else carries different kinds of cacti like they do.

I had the best experience at Westwood Gardens today! I brought in a pothos plant that was in desperate need of some major TLC. The leaves were yellowing and starting to fall off, and as an experienced plant killer, I knew this was going downhill fast. Andrea was quick to show me what was going wrong with my little plant and offered me some solutions to help bring it back to life. Sarah also kindly offered to help me wash the roots and repot the plant for me at the store. She even added some rocks on top to help with the plants growth. I will be coming back to Westwood Gardens for any future plant purchases!

Staff is very friendly. If you're looking for succulents then the Weddington location is better. This location does have a nice selection of large cacti.

I am so disappointed. I will never shop here again, and I will tell anyone who will listen that THIS Westwood Garden's has a racist manager. I have shopped at Westwood Garden's my entire life! I live less than a mile from this location. But my Chinese friend told me the manager was extremely rude towards her, refused the deal that they had made the previous day, and told her "to learn English." My friend has an accent but has very good English.

The deal was to return her money for a packaged weed killer if my friend bought too much. The manager said she would return her money. When the manger refused the deal, my friend brought her husband (who is also Chinese but has been in the US much longer and speaks perfect English). The manager told my friend's husband that he should have come in and then the manger would have upheld the deal. He had not even been present for the actual deal. I just thought Fayetteville was past all this discrimination BS!

Their plants are beautiful and the variety is great, but their customer service and customer relations are deplorable. The manager and employees at the Fayetteville store on Mission Blvd. treat customers condescendingly, particularly when a complaint about a product is made. I bought two dianthus, a perennial, each for $12, and both died within a a couple of weeks, looking like the one in the photo next to the impatiens.

When I went to see about a replacement, both the employee and the manager told me that their plants have a one-week guarantee, and that I had planted it in a place with poor drainage. It is very sad that the manager at that store sets the tone for her employees to be just as impolite with the customers.

Great service and a great place to get yourself some plants! Has such a cute array of pots, baskets and planters, as well as a huge selection of outdoor and indoor plants. Personally got my mum there and it's still thriving! You won't be disappointed with the selection here! :

Westwood Gardens is like a feast for your eyes and nose. Beautiful colors abound and the flowers smell amaaaaazzzzing. Well, it's spring! And it's time to plant bee and pollinator-friendly flowers so hubs and I got in the truck and headed to Wedington since I saw that Westwood Gardens was having a Spring Open House. I was in search of Bee Balm aka Monarda and they had it - score!

The marigolds were so gorgeous we got a bunch of them along with lavender, peppermint, spearmint and the most adorable hanging succulent terrarium for my kitchen window. The staff was really helpful with the exception of one person who told me he'd never heard of Bee Balm and to go inside and ask if they have it. I figured a staff-member would take initiative to find out for a customer, but no big deal. I'd usually deduct a star, but the rest of the staff was so nice and helpful they more than made up for it. Prices are a little higher than the big Home Improvement chains and *THE* biggest chain of them all, but the quality is far superior. We'll definitely go back. I didn't get one of their gorgeous hanging plants and I think I'll be needing one in my life very soon.

Wow! This place has the largest selection of the most beautiful hanging baskets of flowers. But we came here to look for privacy trees. They had a nice selection but there was no one to help us in the tree section. We thought there pricing was reasonable.

This place is so neat! It's like a plant museum, there are SO many varieties. Some plants/merchandise seems over priced. BUT some pricing blew me away! Example: BEAUTIFUL hibiscus trees/shrubs between $20-$25. Place was well staffed except at register. Poor lady was solo with like 5 people on line. Definitely a place to visit if you're doing some planting!

Came by for a few tropicals and was floored by the selection. This is a top-notch nursery operation. I googled a few plants but ended up choosing a few others using staff recommendations. Ran into the owner and he was kind enough to give me advice on watering regiments for a healthy and successful plant. If I hadn't asked, one of the ferns probably would've died! I recommend asking the staff for tips. Will stop by during spring!

While they do have many nice plants that are hard to find elsewhere, they will also knowingly sell you sick plants. Even if you can prove they were sick when you bought them from them, they wont even exchange for a healthy plant. That's unacceptable. I'm new to the area and according to several gardening friends who've lived here many years, this is due to the owner who apparently has gotten too big for his britches.

I was landscaping my new house and bought 4 expensive shrubs. They had a few yellow leaves and the person who helped me said they'd be better once they were in the ground. I planted them. Pretty soon I had yellow spotted leaves falling off everywhere. I found after some internet research they had a fungal disease. Brought them back to the store.

Before I went to the desk, I looked at the current stock. They had one left that was diseased. sitting next to a bunch of new healthy ones. DUH. But I was not allowed to exchange. I got a song and dance and a bunch of advice about fungicides. My shrubs will live. Im just out about $60 for systemic fungicide treatments and bushes that look crummy the first year. Takes a lot of nerve when you are charging premium prices, . So now Im looking for other nurseries in the area even if I have to drive a ways.

Plants-beautiful Service-HORRIBLE I went on impulse because I thought they may have the ferns I could not find elsewhere. I also hoped for service and loading. It is a garden center paradise, beautifully organized and obviously good quality plants. I didn't see anyone anywhere to help but was okay. So excited to find my ferns, pulled out 6 I wanted and went to find help. (these are the larger potted ferns) There was no one at the two front registers, but eventually a man walked by.

I asked him if I could get help hauling 6 ferns to my car while I went and cleared room in the back, and that I also found two very large dish gardens I wanted. He looked at me as if I had asked for a double dip w/ sprinkles. Finally he said ok. He loaded the ferns on the cart, but said "that's only 5" so I put another on the cart. As he moved the cart, one fell off head first.

He just stood there. I said, "oh I just had surgery recently and am not supposed to lift much but I'll get it." He said nothing. We went to the car and he stood by while I moved the items from my cargo area. With out a word, he walked back to the store with the cart. I was in shock. But I wanted those dish gardens! I found a cart outside I could manage.

In the green house another customer and I locked eyes over no cashiers or help to be found. She had a child in a cart. We had a short conversation about the lack of service and the gentleman's bad attitude (she had dealt with him also) I loaded my two big dish gardens and headed to the front. Of course the rude man found his way to the cash register.

He rang up my 247.00 worth of plants, told me the total, pushed the reciept to me to be signed, said "this is yours" and turned away. No offer to help lug those big pots or a thanks or anything. Lowe's and Harps for me next year, surgery or not. Great service either place.

This is such a beautiful store! The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the selection was excellent! I bought the cutest little shrub and decorative little pig for one of my terrariums. The pieces were great : overall I would definitely recommend Westwood Gardens to anyone looking for a nursery in the area! I can't wait to go back!

I live in Joplin, MO and I wanted to remove and replace my 20-year old azalea plants. There was no inventory at nurseries in my local area, so I started calling nurseries in northwest Arkansas. In order to obtain the quanity I needed, late in the season, I ended up purchasing the plants from three of their four locations. What I found at Westwood Gardens is something to talk about: a very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff, a large section of plants to choose from, some of the most beautiful plants I have ever seen at a lower price than at my local nurseries.

I was so impressed I could not wait to tell my neighbors and my landscape contractor about this great find. The people I have talked to have had the same experience with our local suppliers and are looking forward to visiting Westwood. I didn't visit the East Fayetteville store, but I will do so the next time I am in the area.

Tree was delivered in poor condition. The owner's were rude and condescending. The owner showed no concern and offered no advice on saving the tree. Once you pay the shoddy work is your problem. STAY AWAY!

HORRIBLE GUARANTEE POLICY! If anything dies, they dont replace it. You have to pay half price on something else. And you dont get the half price deal on anything you find, you only get it on certain trees and shrubs that they have enough cushion built in to the price! We bought five trees and followed their instructions for care to the letter. We were not told about this bogus guarantee policy when we bought, we were just told that the trees were guaranteed. Silly us, we ASSUMED that meant replacement or at least store credit.

To make matters worse when we went in to ask about it, the manager was extremely condescending. Needless to say, we wont be back, and we are telling anyone who will listen to RUN away from this place!

Wonderful selection. Staff is knowledgable, friendly and helpful. We bought five small yews (densiformis yew) and one tall skinny one. We also got a gold flame honeysuckle. I'm stoked :)

The plants are wonderful, the service is good. We bought a load of 9 trees from this store. We had 6 of them delivered in good time and condition.and planted with care. The other three we brought home and planted ourselves. HOWEVER. The following summer three of the new trees which Westwood planted died.only in the ground about 6months. We tried to get replacements, but they told us that we had to pay half-price for the replacement trees.!

That is just horrible business considering the money (hundreds of dollars) that we spent at their shop. We did not pay any more money for any more of their trees.and our three dead trees are still in the front yard. DO NOT BUY TREES FROM WESTWOOD GARDENS.you're better off buying from Lowe's where you get a full cost replacement for dead plants within 1yr with your receipt. I'm never shopping at Westwood Gardens again, and I suggest the same to you.
