This past year, Cross Creek Nursery celebrated 47 years of serving the Richmond area. Our humble beginning takes us back to Carytown, to a little shop by the name of Tropical Treehouse. Today, Cross Creek Nursery consists of 160+ employees and 5 divisions. One thing we've never lost sight of thru the years is how we enjoy working with our customers, and giving them the individual attention they deserve.

Whether helping a customer choose the right shrubs for their yard, designing a new outdoor room, or offering support to a nervous bride as she chooses her wedding flowers, we believe in keeping our commitment to excellence in all we do.

Gene is the founder of Tropical Treehouse Corporation, doing business as Cross Creek Nursery. He started the company as Tropical Treehouse over 45 years ago in a small shop in Carytown. With vision and dedication, he has successfully grown our company into five divisions: Landscape Design & Build, Grounds Maintenance, Cross Creek Florist, Interiorscapes and the Garden Center. Gene is involved in the strategic planning of acquisitions, investments and all future growth. Mark started with the company over 32 years ago.

Other responsibilities will be general maintenance around the nursery like straightening products and cleaning. Previous experience operating forklifts or loaders preferred but not required. We will train the right individual. Minimum age 16 years and valid driver's license required. This position involves traveling to customers' houses to deliver and install plants they have purchased. The job requires heavy lifting, digging holes, and planting all day long. Must have a valid driver's license and be at least 18 years of age.

Cross Creek Nursery North

Cross Creek is growing! In late 2021, we were excited to announce our plans to build a new garden center location in Hanover County. Cross Creek Nursery North will offer 15 acres of trees, shrubs, and perennials along with an indoor tropical greenhouse. Only a few minutes from Short Pump Town Center, the new location also expands our service area for landscape design and grounds maintenance services.
