Rogers Nursery, Inc., was founded in 1934 by Donald F. Rogers, formerly the forester for the City of Lake Forest. He was joined in the business by his son, Donald Jr., and Donald Jr.'s wife Edith in the late 1950s. Their son, Dan Rogers (Donald F. Rogers III) has been working in the family business since 1978 and stepped up to fill the gap left by his father's death in 1993.
