Our planning process is full service: from concept and design to permitting. We believe site designs stand the test of time when function and beauty co-exist. Working Earth design team is headed up by Derek Bowser, who has a degree in Landscape Architecture from Harvard and has been working in the field for 25 years. Our design team brings a seasoned eye and a fresh approach to every project.

New construction requires careful consideration of many elements to ensure the design fulfills its purpose in the overall landscape. We diligently take everything into account when planning for and performing site work: water management, proper grading, and when necessary, installation of drainage or trenches to divert water.

Stonework is almost always the centerpiece and backbone of an overall site plan. Retaining walls and stonewalls give shape to the landscape, while patio and walkways add function and character to every design. We take great pride in our stonework and can accommodate any preference or style.

The entrance to a property sets the tone. We thoughtfully design, install and maintain driveways utilizing a wide range of materials including pea stone, shell, brick, crushed blue stone, and hardener and we have a complete line of edging and apron materials.
