You will also find a wide selection of gardening accessories, soil amendments, fertilizers and plant care products.

Since the early 1950's, the Schwarz Family name has been well known in Addison and the surrounding area. Otto Schwarz started out in the egg business. For many years, the barn was the home of "Otto's Egg Basket" where he raised chickens and sold eggs in the community. In the 1960s, Otto began to grow trees as a hobby.

We are a full service garden center with over 7 acres of shopping area. We specialize in single stem trees from 2" - 5" diameter, multi-stem trees up to 16' tall. We carry a full line of hardy shrubs, perennials, roses, vines and ground covers. In the spring we are fully stocked with annuals and vegetables.

Whether you are the first owner of a new home or need a landscape makeover, our professional designers can create a plan that gives your home a vibrant and refreshing new look.

Landscape Design Options

For our Landscape Design customer, one of our designers will meet with you at your home to discuss your landscaping needs. The designer will draw a plan and present it to you at the garden center. At that time, you may make any changes needed and select the plants you will have installed. Customers can choose to have us do all the installation work, or we can deliver the plants and you can install yourself. Call 630-627-6261 to set up an appointment with a designer.
