Rich founded Green Meadows in 1982, and incorporated in 1984. He began with the goal of providing personalized services, high quality maintenance, and skilled landscape construction: characteristics that he felt were lacking in the industry. His commitment to customer service and understanding of its importance are the reason for the company's growing list of long-term customers.

He is also a licensed pesticide applicator, certified landscape technician, and an ICPI-certified installer. Rich currently serves on the board of the New Jersey Landscape Contractors Association (NJLCA).
