Lawns Ltd. has been in business since 1979 and now with a staff of over 40, is one of the few woman-owned and operated landscape and lawn care companies in the nation. The founder, Lisa Torgersen, has amazing creative talent and her knowledge is well-respected in the landscape and lawn care industry. Feature stories of Lisa's success ran in Landscape Magazine and the Texas State Technical College's 50th Anniversary Commemorative Book, as well as the Waco Tribune-Herald. Lawns Ltd. has grown from a one-woman mowing operation (while Lisa was at TSTC, then Baylor University) to a full-service landscape company with an annual sales volume of two million to three million dollars.

An important part of Lawns Ltd landscape philosophy is a creativity, but creativity is only good if the landscaping can be sustained. Because of that, our residential and commercial designs underscore environmental stewardship by focusing on long-term sustainability. In addition, we never design or install anything that we or others cannot easily maintain.

Lawns Ltd. started in 1979 - just a girl (and her dog) with a passion for maintaining exterior spaces. Since our humble beginnings, we have evolved from a maintenance-only business to a full-service landscaping firm, offering the unique, the professional and the show-stopper. Returning to Waco after running a landscape business in Austin, Ben loves being by the river and spending time with his five-year-old daughter, Hazel.
