Warrens Nursery has been in business since 1946, and has grown to include five farms, encompassing over five hundred acres. Our plant material is of the highest quality, locally grown, and well acclimated to the challenging Eastern Long Island conditions. Within our beautiful farms one can find many mature specimen trees that would be difficult to find anywhere else.
Our large evergreens, reaching heights of 20'-30'-40' are frequently used to provide for large scale privacy screening. In addition to being one of the premiere specimen nurseries on the east coast, Warrens is also a full service landscape design, installation and maintenance company.

Fagus Sylvatica "pendula" European Weeping Beech
Report
In Early 2021 a Warrens client purchased a unique mature specimen Fagus sylvatica "Pendula", commonly known as a European Weeping Beech. This very mature tree has a trunk caliper of 18, a spread of 32'-36', and was approximately 35'-40' in height. Obviously relocating a tree of this size from our Southampton Farm to East Hampton was a big challenge, the pictures below show the tree in leaf at our farm, the amazing trunk, and what it looks like just prior to being dug by hand. The preparing of the tree for digging and transport took our team four days, carefully tying the branches together, and then hand digging and preparing the 12'+ root ball.
