This is a LARGE park. There are so many trails to take and so many unique things to see, waterfalls, elk, coast, and of course giant redwoods. Unlike other national parks, there are many sections of the park that are free, not counting the camping areas, those that need a permit and everything. But, as a local or day tripper, you can still take the full experience without paying anything.

An absolutely stunning place to visit and walk amongst the largest trees anywhere in the world. The Tall Trees Grove Trail is well worth your time and I would highly recommend getting the permit and taking the hike. You can't fully realize the true size of these trees until you see them in person and realize just how impressive they truly are.

Came to look at the trees to find a wedding/photo venue. The park ranger at the info center was knowledgeable and pleasant. Everything was nice. As far as the park goes, this is an amazing national park and I am happy to know my tax dollars here are for such a great use. Trees are massive and it is crazy to stand next to them. Trails are well maintained.

Absolutely breathtaking! No picture or video could ever do this place justice. While driving through this place you will see that they are indeed massive. It's not until you get out and do some trails that you realize the trees get so much bigger deeper in the forest. It's dead quiet which really makes it peaceful. I really did love it here and can't wait to come back and see more trails.
It is damp inside the forest so be ready for that. It really makes you think about how small you are in this world. Its also makes you realize how terrible humans have been to cut down such enormous trees for money. So do yourself a favor and take a hike through this ancient forest and fall in love with it!

Mario is great to work with and he really knows soil! Our backyard was a swampy mess most of the year. After digging a few small holes, Mario showed me the soil's structure at different depths. He explained how each depth had probably gotten that way. About a foot down was a region so dense that water could barely get through it, hence the soupy yard.
The solution was to drill a set of evenly spaced holes deep enough to get beyond the packed zone to the good looking soil beneath. Filling the holes with coarse sand gave the water a channel and yet let the grass grow back over. It has been a particularly damp spring and the holes have done the trick. No more swamp. The yard is usable almost all yearlong.

Mario did a fantastic job. I had a big big problem with my Red October Glory, it split towards the top. With his eye bolts and cables he was able to bring my sagging tree back to life. I have used him the past 3 years. He does outstanding work and my neighbors have used him since I found him. He has the best rates in Jackson County and trust me, I have received estimates from others. Great arborist and very sad to see him leave our area and move back to Portland.
