This company cares about their reputation and that is very beneficial for consumers. There was a problem and they fixed it. I'm grateful for the arborist who came and cheerfully helped me out. A general word of advice though; when a neighbor requests permission to enter your property to have work done, be absolutely positive you have all the information and facts about how that is going to affect you.

They did a great job pruning 130+ year old chestnut! On time. Professional. Courteous. AND they put up with all my questions. Service: Tree trimming & pruning

We had several large trees in the back and front yard that needed to be pruned/cleaned up, including two 70' (or maybe bigger?) walnut trees that were waaay beyond our abilities. The Urban Forest Pro crew was amazing. Sensitive to our concerns, and very skilled and professional. And had the agility of monkeys -- even with their saws and equipment -- as they scaled our enormous trees, ran ropes, and cleaned away the dead wood, etc.

Crew leader Cole was an ace -- great communication start to finish. Along with keeping me updated on progress and plans, and making sure all the trees were just as I'd liked, he also managed to mediate with and allay the concerns of our behind-the-fence neighbor (who was the reason we were trimming back one of the biggest walnut trees -- it had grown to be hanging way over into his yard, and was looming over his shed). Now, that is next level! These guys are wonderful. I plan to hire them again in future years, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to you. Thanks again, guys!

This is our second time using Urban Forest Pro and we will use them for all our projects. They are aptly named! They are professionals from start to finish. The bid, the permitting, the scheduling and of course the actual job all run smoothly. They are also incredibly nice on the phone and in person! Service: Tree removal

Urban Forest recently removed an 80 foot Grand Fir tree that had a diameter of 42 inches at the base. The tree was located between the house and a wood fence 12 feet from the house. Obviously a challenging endeavor. The Urban Forest crew(s) removed the branches, brought down the tree trunk, ground the stump and removed the wood safely and without any damage to the house or the fence. The only structural issue was the displacement of the pad on which the nearby air conditioner was situated.

They corrected this problem. I did not get any other bids for this job because Urban Forest had removed a large branch from another tall tree on my lot that had become disconnected during a storm a couple of years ago. Their bid at that time was competitive with others I received. I was so impressed with the manner in which they did the earlier less complex job that I wanted them to do this more difficult job.

Their policy is to have a certified arborist as part of every crew who has to go up in to a tree, and that expertise is very evident. I am definitely glad I made that decision and would recommend them to anyone who needs competent, professional work done with their trees.

I have hired Urban Forest Pro three times and each time the work was done professionally. Over the years, they have removed 125 ft Cedars that were menacing the house, a Norway Maple, and most recently three diseased Birch. They also pruned a Dogwood that needed to be lightened up and balanced. Their crews are always on time and they clean up thoroughly. Highly recommended.

Excellent communication and professional service. Jeff answered all my questions about a row overgrown arborvitaes in the backyard and the 2 Douglas Fir Trees in the front. One of the Douglas Fir trees was our neighbors and they did an excellent job of pruning both trees at the same time. All of the dead branches were removed and when strong winds came through yesterday, very few small branches fell to the grown.

Most importantly, they removed a very large dead branch that could have crashed down on our roof. The crew was on time and very courteous. They took as long as needed to complete the job. They cleaned up all the debris and left the area as they found it.

If you need outstanding forestry work look no further! Urban Forest Pro really took all the anxiety out of such a daunting task involving tree removal, tree pruning and stump grinding. From customer service on the phone with C.D., our excellent consultation with the knowledgeable and patient Jesse, perfect pruning and removal with Cole and his team (shout out to Crew 3), ending with expert execution and quick problem solving from Keith on our stump grinding - it all went incredibly smooth from planning to finish.

I am so grateful to the entire team for all that they did and look forward to knowing we have such an awesome group of professionals in our back pocket like a forestry secret weapon for the next time! I will recommend them to everyone. Thank you so much!

Looking at other reviews, I see a lot of people have high praise for this company, but my experience was as follows. I have three large pine trees in my front yard. Urban forest Pro took down 1 of them, which was 140 foot high. The price was a little spendy, but it was fair. Service: Tree removal

I was looking for a good arborist in Portland, and i certainly found one. I found them through Friends Of Trees (the non-profit). I called a few options and they where quick to respond, and to get someone out to take a look and get me a quote. Very competitively priced, and scheduling was easy. I was even able to get in sooner, because they called when other opening shoed up, this was very helpful.

The day they came to do the work they where organized, and quick. Took care of not damaging other trees or wires, and not dropping anything in the neighbor's yard. They cleaned up the fallen branches nicely, and left me with a nice pile of firewood (i asked for this). I like to ask questions, and they didn't have issues with that. Totally friendly about it.

The three person crew from a Urban Forest Pros showed up on time and immediately got to work. I was really impressed with their professionalism and especially the care/respect they showed for my property. They did a thorough and complete job off pruning my oak tree and left the job site totally cleared of debris. I highly recommend this company for all of your tree care needs.

Great experience working with Urban forest team on removal of trees in my front yard. Arborist was super cool and professional in estimating the costs and assessing the needs of removal. Then project manager - Sharon was amazing throughout the entire journey. Noah and his crew cut the tree quickly and cleaned everything up ideally. Then the next day Keith came with the stump grinder and made everything look in a way that I never had trees there. Fantastic experience. Can't recommend enough.

I got so much information and advice on how to care for a very tall street tree with Bronze Birch Borer. From the estimator, to staff arborist, scheduler and tree crew - great service! Tree crew to climbed trimmed dead wood, analyzed the chances of survival and advised me on steps to take to increase these odds. Crew did a great job, really cleaned up the job site. So glad they were able to get me in quickly - the big wind storm came in two days later!

Quick estimate, reasonable scheduling. I was not home, but my neighbor that shares the tree canopy was very impressed. They were very accommodating of her shade preference. They even cleaned a lot of leaves up off the sidewalk! Not cheap, but very professional and good quality.

Noah, Miles, and Desmond were representing Urban Forest Pro in removing a fallen big-leaf maple tree from our backyard. Upon arrival, they politely introduced themselves. They asked where the tree was and asked pertinent questions about my expectations. They worked very well as a team. They were aware of plants in the yard and removed the parts of the tree without disturbing shrubbery. When they were finished, they asked if they had missed anything. They were very respectful and represented the company very well. I will use this company again if I have need for tree removal or cleanup.

I hired these guys after seeing some work they were doing in my neighborhood. They pruned my three maples and a dogwood. Their prices were fair and they did a great job on my trees. They were fast and they cleaned up their mess. I would use again.

I was outside looking at a plant when I heard crackling and I saw this limb from our big tree in the front yard fall slowly onto the roof it was 3:30 in the afternoon. I called one company to see if they could come out immediately they said they would try to get a hold of me and they never called so I called urban Forest pro they answered the phone and got a crew out there immediately, From the time I called Ryan, close to 4pm he sent a crew out immediately and they were done by 6:30.

Their crew was phenomenal they were so careful when they took down the limbs of the tree, not to destroy anything they were very thoughtful and friendly and their cleanup was phenomenal, I will use them again in the future no question. They were able to give me peace of mind knowing that the tree limb was not laying on my roof and doing more damage.

These guys are great, highly recommended! Jeff was amazing and super knowledgable, he was able to work with our budget and come up with a plan to get all the work done over a few visits. The crew did a wonderful job as well, the yard looks so much better now! Thanks again to the entire team!!

We were required, by The City of Portland, to remove a 'failed' curb side tree and plant a new one. Urban Forest Pro handled everything for us. They were communicative and efficient with their work. Keeping us informed along the way. The tree looks great, they are coming back in a few months to install the watering bag. I highly recommend using them for your arborist needs. Sharron and Geovanni were who I was in contact with and they were both amazing.

Had 3 Japanese Laceleaf Maples trimmed yesterday. The crew was excellent. It was very obvious they loved their job & took excellent care of our 45 year old maples!

Had a great experience with Urban Forest Pro - they promptly scheduled an estimate and the estimator was helpful and thorough. Worked with me over email as I sent over additional questions about the bid and a stump I had forgotten to include the first time around. They were able to get scheduled in two weeks - which was really impressive - and came in with the lowest estimate. The crew was professional, friendly, and did great work.

Especially notable in their thoroughness was stripping off a bunch of dead ivy that had grown up around some of our trees - after their work the trees look brand new. And not only did the crew clean up all of the debris from their work - they also raked and leaf blew all of the pine needles and cruft that predated their arrival - saving me the chore. Couldn't recommend these folks highly enough.

We chose UFP because they were the only woman-owned / woman owned arborists on the Friends of Trees site and we have been delighted after working together. We had a free consult to determine a range of options regarding price/depth of care for a big Sitka spruce at our first home. We worked with Jeff to do right by the tree, the Earth, and our budget. Less than two weeks later a two-person crew arrived on-time and in good humor.

One set to work with spikeless boots on the spruce and the other helped me chainsaw a dying lilac tree in the back yard (not on the estimate). They finished under time and on budget, and WE CAN SEE OUR HOME, and the tree has no more branches endangering our roof or power lines! We would recommend enthusiastically.

Excellent service. Competitive pricing. The crew was great and answered all of my questions about how to care for the freshly pruned trees in the future. They communicated well and did a great job taking care of permitting. We are very satisfied with their work.

A wind storm knocked a tree onto our roof, and the people at Urban Forest Pro were so responsive and professional. It's such a relief to have their help.

Absolutely first rate! We had several bids and were impressed with their knowledge and recommendations. The job was carried out professionally; and they certainly left our winter garden better than they found it.

The crew did a great job and verified that all the work was done to my expectations. They notified me about a late arrival for stump grinding which is great since other companies just leave you wondering.

Urban Forest Pro literally saved the day - coming in to rescue us from the negligent work of another tree company that could have created a significant liability - showed up within two hours of my call for help and skillfully carved my tree out of harm's way. They returned a few days later and removed the tree completely - with professionalism and skill that was impressive and commendable. Removing a large tree in a hazardous area is expensive - and at first I was hesitant to use such a professional service and tried to cut corners - I almost paid a significant price! I am grateful for the service, care, and skill of this company, and the value of having the job done right is well worth the cost!

Urban Forrest Pro was very professional and did a great job. We had 2 trees removed and another one trimmed. They listened to what I wanted and made excellent suggestions. I would highly recommend this company.

I was impressed with the crew. They arrived on time as scheduled, took some time to survey the tree before starting work, and put in several hours getting it pruned and then cleaning up. i just wish they hadn't knocked the blooms off my lilies next to the driveway! However, that's a minor criticism.

Best price around, and we shopped at least 4 different companies to have our very large fir tree removed. This tree was directly in front of the entry of our new home. The guys were friendly, professional, and great to work with. The company kept us well informed of the schedule as well. Would definitely recommend them.

Great work from a super team. Every aspect of working with company was great - from bid process, scheduling, tree removal, stump grinding and payment. On time, professional, courteous, friendly. Questions were responded to promptly. Job performed exactly as expected.

I got several estimates for a big job and Urban Forest Pro was the most affordable and also able to get the job done quickest. They were responsive, on time, knowledgeable, and efficient. I will use them again and highly recommend them.
