Rainbow Landscaping

Our landscape design service transforms outdoor spaces through customized plans that integrate plants, hardscaping, and functional elements. Using computerized visualization tools, we create detailed 8x10 digital images to help clients visualize final results. Our designs prioritize low-maintenance solutions that combine plant textures, colors, and architectural features to enhance property aesthetics while ensuring practical usability for residential and commercial properties.

We construct durable retaining walls using natural stone to reshape landscapes and prevent soil erosion. These structures raise shrub beds while maintaining soil integrity, creating tiered garden designs that add visual interest. Our walls combine functional soil retention with aesthetic appeal, serving as both practical landscaping solutions and decorative elements that enhance property value through improved drainage and erosion control.

Our water feature installations include custom-designed ponds, waterfalls, and water gardens that add tranquility and value to outdoor spaces. We handle complete installations from excavation to final planting, incorporating aquatic plants and fish habitats. These features create focal points in landscapes while providing soothing water sounds, with designs tailored to complement existing architecture and natural surroundings through careful placement and material selection.

Custom-built fire pits create inviting outdoor gathering spaces for residential and commercial properties. We design unique installations that integrate with existing landscapes using premium materials like natural stone and brick pavers. Each fire pit is constructed to meet safety standards while providing functional warmth and ambient lighting, with options for permanent seating arrangements and decorative elements that enhance nighttime aesthetics.

We install durable brick paver patios and walkways using high-quality materials from trusted suppliers. Our designs balance aesthetic appeal with functional durability, creating low-maintenance outdoor living spaces and safe pedestrian pathways. The installations feature elegant patterns and textures that complement architectural styles while withstanding Michigan's climate conditions, with options for integrated lighting and custom shapes to maximize property usability.

I have been calling since November of 2020 regarding a project for Rainbow to get a quote. I have called 6 times over the last 6 months every time I call I am told someone will get back to you in a week. However no one has returned my call for a quote. I am very disappointed as I have worked with this company in the past with excellent results.

Can't say enough how much my wife and I appreciate the work Mike, Brandon and the crew did transforming our front yard. They were super efficient, professional and a pleasure to work with.

Have done high quality work at a reasonable price for us, our family members, friends and neighbors for years.

We are extremely pleased with Rainbow Landscaping and James, the landscape designer. We wanted the landscaping replaced on the front of our house, including removing a boxwood hedge. A different landscaping company actually refused to remove the boxwood because it was the conventional plant to use. Another different company wanted to replace the boxwoods with a different but very similar evergreen. James at Rainbow impressed us because he listened to what we wanted and then came up with a beautiful drawing of his landscape design for our house.

He made several great suggestions that enhanced the appearance, including adding a brick border to one section to make it consistent with an existing brick border on another section. A crew from Rainbow came out as soon as weather permitted and completed the landscape work in a timely fashion. They cleaned everything up completely, and the result looks awesome. If you need landscaping or other exterior work done, we highly recommend James and Rainbow Landscaping.

The project started off well the craftsmanship was or appeared strong but did not power wash my entire brick paver patio when he did 80% of it and said that that was all that was in the contract and then agreed to come back do it charge me for it which I was okay with. Never came back this is December of 2016 and said he would come back in Spring. I was okay with that too but when I had no contact from him in April I reached out to him and he claimed he would come out in a couple of weeks the rain had set him back and I was on his schedule.

I informed him a big patch of the repair work that they did the papers were thinking and he needed to come out and take a look and repair and he said he would. I also requested a quote for some additional work which he said he would. Is June 8th we have been in communication every two weeks you continues to claim he will come by look at it see what needs to be done. Unfortunately this company reminds me of many other contractors I've dealt with over the years Who start off strong finish okay they collect your money and you never see them again.
