This homeowner had an area at the back of their property that was very difficult to maintain. The solution to the problem was to install oversized stone on the sloped areas, a bark bed with plants on the flat area and timber steps in the lower slope. A ground cover bed at a commercial property was removed, regraded and turned into a low maintenance decorative gravel bed with a low hedge along the street sidewalk.

A leaning post and board retaining wall around a hot tub was removed. The existing bank was excavated to more than double the useable flat area leading to the hot tub. A treated timber retaining wall was installed and the existing plants were replanted behind the new retaining wall. The access area to the hot tub was prepared and paved with paving bricks matching the pavers around the hot tub. This timber retaining wall, steps and railing were constructed to provide a larger patio around an existing pool.

For fall clean-ups we use the most efficient equipment available. For larger open areas we use wheel mounted push blowers and back-pack blowers. Handheld blowers are used for the more confined areas. Rakes and low velocity hand blowing works best for areas with delicate plantings. The leaves and debris are loaded into trucks specifically set up for large capacities by using vacuum truck loaders. The fall clean-up canopies on the trucks are designed for large volumes of air flow thus allowing the truck loaders to "pack" the truck.
