Services
Lawn Aeration
Our lawn aeration services alleviate soil compaction by redistributing air, nutrients, and moisture within the soil and root system. We offer both core aeration and liquid aeration treatments to promote deeper root growth, reduce thatch buildup, and improve water infiltration. Annual treatments create healthier soil conditions that enhance fertilizer effectiveness and support robust grass development.
Pest Control
We provide comprehensive pest control solutions targeting ants, grubs, mosquitoes, and other lawn-damaging insects. Our perimeter treatments create protective barriers while our season-long programs use pollinator-friendly products to control surface-feeding pests and sub-surface grubs without harming beneficial insects. Mole control services are also available as one-time or seasonal treatments.
Soil Amendment
Our soil testing and amendment services optimize soil pH levels through targeted lime or sulfur applications. Technicians collect 10-12 soil cores for lab analysis, then apply customized treatments to correct acidity or alkalinity issues. Balanced soil pH improves nutrient availability, strengthens lawn resilience, and enhances effectiveness of other lawn care treatments.
Fertilization
We offer customized fertilization programs with organic and traditional options to address specific lawn needs. Our 6-12 step programs include pre-emergent crabgrass control, post-emergent weed treatments, and targeted applications to address nutrient deficiencies. Phosphorus-free formulas protect regional waterways while promoting thick, green turf growth.
Tree & Shrub Care
Our comprehensive tree and shrub care includes horticultural oil applications, dormant oil treatments, and direct-injection pest control. Deep root fertilization twice annually delivers essential nutrients directly to root systems. Wedgle injection treatments combat pests and diseases while specialized fungicides protect against needle cast and apple scab in ornamental trees.

Questions
How often should I water my lawn?
Clay soil requires daily watering in early summer (15 minutes each), while sandy loam needs twice-daily watering. Newly seeded lawns need 3 daily waterings for 21 days. Adjust based on soil type and weather conditions.
When is the best time for lawn aeration?
Fall is optimal for mechanical core aeration to allow grass recovery before winter. Liquid aeration can be performed anytime during the growing season and works effectively in both spring and fall applications.
What causes crabgrass growth?
Crabgrass emerges in thin grass areas, mowed-too-short zones, and cracked soil. Our preemergent treatment creates a protective barrier lasting 90-120 days. Any breakthrough growth will die with the first frost in fall.
How high should I cut my grass?
Maintain grass height at 3.5-4 inches minimum. Measure from concrete with mower blades off to ensure proper cutting height, which promotes deeper root growth and drought resistance.
What are common lawn fungus signs?
Inconsistent turf coloring, brown/yellow lesions on grass blades, and reddish-rust discoloration on shoes or mower blades indicate potential fungal issues requiring professional assessment and treatment.

We have used Back to Nature for years and have been extremely happy. The lawn looks great, and they offer suggestions of how to better care for our lawn. Unlike other companies we have used in the past, while they offer more services than we use, they do not hard sell any special treatments. Services: Weed control, Lawn pest control

Back to Nature is a great company. Their website is easy to use and they call a day or two before they come to service your house. The technicians leave a detailed note or email to let you know how your lawn is looking and tips to keep it looking good. I also use their pest service and it keeps the bugs out of my house. I highly recommend them!

We have been customers for several years and are happy with the results. Prior to using there service, I did all the lawn service requirements myself with only fair results. Today, my lawn looks great and I credit Back to Nature for that. I also use their aeration service which I would recommend for a healthier lawn. Service: Weed control

We had previously used Back to Nature to completely transform our lawn from patchy weeds to a beautiful green yard that everyone in the neighborhood raved about. When we recently moved to a new home in a rural area we had a problem with ticks and decided to go with Back to Nature for lawn pest control. They took care of the ticks and drastically cut down the mosquitos. We have been so happy with all of the services we have used over the years and will continue to use and recommend Back to Nature for our lawn care needs. Everyone we have dealt with has been kind and incredibly helpful.

Back to Nature was as good as their word in providing weed control and substantially improving our lawn for 2021! Their staff were prompt and efficient and always had time to answer our questions and discuss lawn conditions. Also, they were thoughtful about addressing how to best manage weed control with pets as we were concerned about the use of pesticides with our dog that has occasional seizures. We trust Back to Nature and will be using them in 2022 to continue to improve our lawn.
