Deck & Fences
Custom cedar decks and fences provide both functionality and beauty. We utilize locally milled lumber to create weather-resistant structures that complement natural surroundings. Our designs prioritize safe access and visual flow while meeting specific privacy and entertainment needs.
Patios & Pathways
Patios and pathways are designed for year-round usability, addressing seasonal mud issues common in the region. We create interconnected spaces that improve property access while forming the foundation for planting beds and lawn areas through strategic negative space planning.
Drainage Solutions
Comprehensive drainage systems prevent water damage and erosion. We implement customized solutions during initial project phases, integrating French drains and grading techniques that work with Nevada County's natural topography to protect landscapes and structures.

They are not taking new customers, but still have their quote forms up online. They should update their website to reflect.

Custom landscapes has taken care of our lake house for the last 4 years. It is a pleasure to arrive with the property looking well manicured. Previous landscapers we had at the lake were either not reliable, overpriced or provided only part of the services we needed (like winterizing our pump from the lake, repairing minor issues with our well, downed tree after a storm). No headaches for me. I call and it's taken care of promptly, professionally and at a fair price.

Custom Landscapes completed all of our yard design, landscaping, lighting, and irrigation six years ago when we moved into our house and have handled our lawn/landscaping/irrigation maintenance needs since then. The folks at Custom Landscapes are extremely responsive, professional, diligent, and have been a pleasure to work with. I have and would continue to highly recommend their services to others.

Custom Landscapes transformed my new home to include a beautiful outdoor oasis with a large working waterfall and stream, an elevated deck with spa, fire pit, gazebo, pavers, sod, sprinklers, landscape lighting, trees, bushes and flowers. They did it all! They transformed my landscaping with a reasonable price and in a timely manner. I was so impressed by their work, that I have retained them to weekly care for our property. They do outstanding work and I couldn't be happier with the results!
