Yes! Sod is healthy and mature at the time of installation and requires very little maintenance. Sprigging or seeding your lawn requires years of nurturing where as sod needs little-to-no special care. Sod can be installed practically anywhere, even where seeding is impossible. Sod is often used to stop soil erosion and water pollution on slopes where rain would wash away both seed and soil.
