Services
Turf Management
Our science-based turf management combines organic fertilizers, soil amendments, and targeted treatments to create resilient lawns. We address grub infestations, surface-feeding pests, and weed problems while improving soil health through bio-stimulants. This approach produces thicker, greener lawns that withstand Maine's climate challenges while reducing environmental impact through sustainable practices.
Pest Control
Comprehensive pest control solutions protect against ticks, mosquitoes, and invasive insects using eco-friendly products. We create protective barriers around properties, targeting high-risk areas like mulch beds and wooded edges. Our programs address seasonal pest pressures while maintaining safety for families, pets, and beneficial insects through targeted treatments and natural repellents.
Vegetation Management
Professional vegetation management controls unwanted growth through pre-emergent treatments and selective herbicides. We specialize in eliminating noxious weeds like poison ivy while preserving desired plants. Services include mulch bed maintenance, bare-ground control for gravel areas, and fire hazard reduction through strategic vegetation management across residential and commercial properties.
Soil Amendments
Custom soil amendment programs improve nutrient retention and root development through organic biostimulants. We address compaction issues and pH imbalances to create optimal growing conditions. These treatments enhance fertilizer effectiveness, reduce thatch buildup, and promote beneficial microbial activity that strengthens lawn resilience against pests and environmental stressors.
Tick Management
Targeted tick control programs protect outdoor spaces through perimeter treatments and habitat modification. We focus on shaded areas, wooded edges, and high-traffic zones using EPA-registered products that break pest life cycles. Services include seasonal treatments to address tick activity patterns and reduce disease transmission risks while maintaining environmental safety.

Jeremy and the crew at Green Thumb are absolutely the best. They call me before every treatment to let me know what they are planning on doing, and to see if I have any questions. They also evaluate the lawn when they arrive and actually take the time to see if the service is needed before simply applying an application just to make a buck! They are honest, extremely well versed and professional in every way. If you are looking for a company that will work in your best interest, stop looking and chose the company that will deliver the results we are all looking for!
