Whitmore's Yard Care, Inc., established in 1986 is owned and operated by Cary M.L. Whitmore. Cary is a graduate of Dean Junior College as well as Stockbridge School of Agriculture at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. Cary has received degrees in both business management and landscape operations.

Let our licensed professionals care for and maintain your shrubbery and ornamental trees. We will manage the year round responsibility of pruning, feeding, mulching, identifying and treating insects and diseases. Annual pruning is necessary for shrubbery to remain at desired heights as well as let in sunlight, and air to keep plants healthy.

Avoid "scalping" or cutting your lawn to short. Soil temperatures will increase when lawns are mowed short and can cause root stress and increase weed growth. Adjust your mower deck height based on the season. Most lawns can be mowed 2.5 - 3 in spring and fall. In the summer, deck height should be raised to 3.5" to 4".
